  1. Harry Brook fought with a bouncer shitfaced yet still captained England in a losing ODI in NZ the next day. £30k fine and final warning but allowed to be vice-skipper in the Ashes and bat like a billionaire. What a prick and what a empire of paper cups Brendon has built.
  2. Beer Engine in Newton St Cyres just north of Exeter so bit more of a trip (has railway station on the Barnstaple to Exeter line) brews its own stuff. Had my 40th party there complete with a Saints birthday cake. Nice walks around the pub as well. To the East of you nearer the M5 the Culm Valley Inn was always a good place. Haven’t been to this one for circa 14-15 years but it was always well regarded https://www.facebook.com/KingsNympton/?locale=en_GB
  3. New houses in most parts of Devon and Cornwall, that part of Dartmoor especially, tend to have radon extractor fans fitted underneath the houses to extract any gas from under the floors and out via a pipe. Many older houses have one retro-fitted. If anyone is ever considering buying down that way, NERC and the BGS can run a survey mapping your area for radon concentrations for only a few quid. That way, you can ask the vendor to confirm they have radon extraction.
  4. Proportions on that map are slightly odd, but I’m going to guess that the nearest small town is South Molton (nice by day and not so by night) and you’re circa 15-20 miles from Crediton. More towards Okehampton but the Uncle Tom Cobleigh is a must-visit in Spreyton for real ale. On Dartmoor, the Rugglestone Inn at Widecombe was a regular of ours and one of my favourite pubs in England.
  5. I sense a change on business rates for pubs, and needs to be https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy59k2rdkv5o The behaviour of certain pubcos needs reining in though.
  6. You missed the ed off piss in Johnny’s case.

  8. West Ham wanted a show a bit more punch but not quite like that…. KWP did well apart from the corner, shouldn’t be back post anyway. As for Fernandes, very anonymous. 🎵 Matty Fernandes, he’ll bring the drop for you 🎵
  9. Only arguably Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen were sustained successes from that huge list.
  10. Source? Not saying it’s accurate or factual either but the fact that the local paper and fanzine editor have felt able to go to print tells me it’s not a pure coincidence.
  11. His type is clearly distressed mid-size clubs but good luck to him and a promotion in role.
  12. 🤞 but he will need to score some goals and show more (or even some) enthusiasm and work rate. Let’s hope for all parties that he does so. Surely he cannot be as bad a player as we witnessed?
  13. Massaging Ankerson’s neck at the pottery wheel.
  14. I think Nick might be onto something here, Alfie House’s posts were not random comments, I reckon Spors or someone else in the club’s leadership is trying to buy Tonda more time after the latest and most pathetic capitulation at Boro by pointing the finger at Martin’s luvvies and House fired the bullets. Unlikely that’s come without some prompting https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/news/65411/
  15. He’s jealous of Rasmus, Spors and Garner having theirs done by Fabrice.
  16. SMS certainly lacks in the way of chicken dinners.
  17. Notnowcato would have a few Bob coming his way for the Carlton Palmer post - at least 80 laughing emojis on that one.
  18. Sounds like a good fit, they’re as much of a mess as Saints and SR.
  19. Over at the Bursledon Windmill, Johnny has been drinking very strong cider all day to combat the cold. Even though alcoholism has driven away all of his family, any friends he ever had and made him a dinosaur of the forum of his favourite football club. Which he still can’t stay away from despite promising to ‘hang his keyboard up’ for good because his life is so empty.
  20. Neither was Ian Branfoot but we’d seen his Reading teams and it was obvious it wasn’t a fit with how Nicholl had us playing for several years nor the squad we had. Like the lack of fit with Branfoot’s style, Southampton Football has spent 50 of the last 60 years in the top flight. It and SR sorely lacks senior personnel with the track record to get and stay there. If that’s the question then Garner clearly isn’t the answer. If the question is - ‘how does Southampton Football Club become entrenched as a lower Championship and League 1 club’ then he might well be the answer. BRFC and Charlton fans and press might have a different view https://gaschat.co.uk/thread/17710/ben-garner-failure and https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/hope-kills-you-ben-garner-6004648 https://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/23171347.charlton-athletic-sack-ben-garner-months-leaving-swindon-town/
  21. Do the major states want to be part of a large non-democratic autocracy that flies in the face of the Founding Fathers? Some of the bigger ones won’t, especially Blue states, and could be some internal warfare as a result.
  22. Agreed with most of your post but take a look on the Ben Garner thread and the excellent research done on there about the clear links to Rasmus. If true, and it looked compelling, crystal clear that Rasmus and not Spors is pulling the strings.
  23. NATO has to fight Trump if he does that and back Denmark up. I think that would be the point the electorate turns violent against Trump, the vile Stephen Miller, Bondi and the rest.
  24. If they aren’t, the larger and wealthier states with a coastline who could trade have the option of breaking away and I absolutely would not blame them. Seattle and Washington State would be better off with Canada as well.
