Lallana has had 1 good season in 3 in the PL, after another non-show this year it will be 1 in 4. We will look back on that 1 good season and see it as a fluke. Tadic did almost as much as him in 3 months as Lallana did in the whole of his good season

I'm not. Absolutely convinced Tadic is a more talented player with better end product, and if given a run on the left he will prove that

Good post. would also add I don't think playing him with a target man will suit him, so playing him with Lambert and then Pelle may not work. We do lack genuine no. 10s though and it looks as though he's staying, so let's hope Koeman can get something out of him

I have no issue with players appealing for cards to be shown when such cynical fouls have taken place. The Norwich player was the unsporting one for committing cynical fouls, not Tadic. Quite right he was sent off

They've clearly taken a decision in the same way we did with Morgan last summer. He's not leaving

It's probably getting boring to say it, but Charlie Austin... If we got a decent offer then considering he's now 30 I can see why we would do it. Austin is a much more natural finisher than pelle

Romeu has looked good in every game so no surprise again today. A very good signing. great to see JWP having a real impact on the game, although I still don't like Davis playing as a 10 in games like these. Biggest plus was Tadic, back playing on the left, looking brilliant and Mane looking just as comfortable on the right. Please Keep them there Ronald...

He's a decent player but if we got offered a decent fee (8 million or so) I'd take it, he's 30 and I think we can get a younger and better option. I'm hoping Jay has made that position his by Christmas anyway

It would be comical watching him in that Arsenal team. Nowhere near good enough for them Spurs need a player like him but it's unlikely they'd pay 18 million, so I can't see him going

I'm not convinced they'll make the top 6 u less they get Sturridge back and keep him fit. Looking through their team it just looks average, but has cost a fortune to assemble. The only player of genuine quality is Coutinho. Henderson and Milner in midfield is just workmanlike and boring, yet the pair of them earn a combined 300 odd grand a week. Benteke seems completely unsuited to their style as well

Do you think Martina was on our list of potential right backs? I bet he wasn't. We've signed him because he's the cheapest option available and can cover both full backs. I don't like the fact we've taken the cheap option, as we've made enough money in the last couple of years to be able to invest properly

Additionally, I don't have any issue with the policy of selling players that want out for BIG money (which we have done I think), but that only works if the money is used to reinvest and the recruitment is right. Martina is a cheap signing unsuitable for where we are as a club IMO. Juanmi hasn't had a chance yet, why not? Why have we bought him if he isn't a winger, a no 10 or a lone striker? Everyone has their hopes pinned on Clasie and my gut feeling is he is going to be totally underwhelming to be honest, another holding midfielder who doesn't use the ball well enough to play as a no 10 and our midfield with him, Vic and Romeu will look average. It should also be said we've gone from the 'black box', which i interpret as just being a good scouting system evaluating players all over the world, to suddenly stockpiling dutch players since RK became manager. Why aren't we trusting our scouts to find the good players at the right prices? There is too much trust being put in RK when it comes to signings IMO. He should be identifying positions, the scouts should be offering a list of options and RK should sign off on them. I find it slightly amateurish that we bought Martina because Erwin knows him from Holland. That's not how a well run PL club should be operating

If the club were serious about improving the squad, Cedric would have been bought as a young right back with potential and we'd have brought someone else in as first choice, rather than having Martina as a utility back up. Targett should be loaned out for the season. Doubt he'll ever be good enough to be honest but he's a liability in the first team. Go and buy a young left back with some actual talent to be Bertrand's back up Loan out JWP and bring in a proper no 10 who might be able to create a chance occasionally. Sign a striker as competition for Pelle, he can't do it all on his own and I don't think anyone is convinced he's that good anyway. I realise this will cost money but when you see how much money other teams are spending is it really too much to ask we have a net spend of 15-20 million this summer?

You have to question why RK doesn't get this, particularly as he saw how effective it was at the beginning of last season when we played Tadic on the left and Long on the right. Instead we persist with inverted wingers and we currently have full backs who are just nowhere near good enough. I'm not Pelle's biggest fan but we need to play to his strengths if he is going to be our main striker (which he obviously is)

Agree with all of this, but I'll add in I'm concerned about Koeman big time, not just his tactics but what the players think of him. A lot of clubs are spending big money this summer, so I'm starting to question where all of this money is going
