  1. Record at Coventry: Played 49. 20 wins and 8 draws. Including a few cup games of course but i would say that was a pretty good record, no? At Oldham he took them to the playoffs.
  2. On that point, how stupid are footballers!!? They put an outfield player in goal and immediately we had a corner. Any sane person would think about putting a high lofted ball above the "keeper's" head would be the sensible thing to do. But no. We had some idiot fail to beat the first man. Again. Morons the lot of them
  3. I'm not saying they SHOULD. I'm just saying that someone like Bridge, who supported the club as a boy and played here for a number of years, might have a bit of spare cash lying around to at least help to save HIS club. I just think it would a be a nice gesture.
  4. Have to agree. I think it's very disappointing people like Bridge, Beattie, Claus etc haven't been able to make sizeable donations. Surely a player of Bridgey's stature is able to donate a week's wages to the cause??
  5. You're not including his time at Oldham which was very successful as well as at Coventry where, acroos the 40 odd games he was in charge, his record was playoff standard.
  6. He came as a partnership with JP. A specific point was made when they were appointed was that they were going to work TOGETHER as a TEAM. That team failed. He should have been sacked when JP was and he should go in the summer. Personal choice would be Dowie (if we could get him in league 1). Failing that we would be daft not to have a good look at Tisdale and see if he would join us.
  7. So you've spoken to all the saints fans who haven't been going since we got relegated from the prem and 99% of them haven't been going because of lowe?? Behave. Very few clubs get attendances of 30k plus in this league. I would say 23-25k is about what we should be expecting with the current prices.
  8. Not me. He was absolutely woeful until he scored. Lazy, uninterested and his first touch is awful. But once he scored he got a bit more confidence, and being moved out of central midfield helped him. Surely Lallana is a much better option for that role? If McG is going to play, it should be up front or on the right, not in central midfield where all his weaknesses are highlighted.
  9. Average attendance this season before today was 17k.....
  10. Has anyone even considered that some fans actually might have a social life and may have things to get to on a saturday evening?
  11. Just to clarify Jonah, "Leon Crouch did not put a penny of his own money into the club" is not true. To blame Crouch for the overdraft is utterly ridiculous.
  12. Sorry Jonah, honest mistake, thought you referring to the time Crouch publicly offered to buy out Lowe's shares
  13. It was clear i was referring to the comments he made about Crouch, hence the "anti-crouch" comment. Run along
  14. You sure about that?
  15. More of the same anti-crouch ****** from the pro Lowe fans that has no substance to it whatsoever. And it also includes a lie. I guess you have somthing in common with Wilde.
  16. My post wasn't aimed at you Nick, it was aimed a jonah. But to answer anyway, Askham is complete scum and is the man who set us on this path all those years ago. He is nothing more than a leech. Who is Mc??
  17. Are you too thick to understand why Lowe has been unable to find investment for the last decade?
  18. But yet you miss Rupert's name off that list. Quelle surprise. You luvvies are finished, Lowe has gone and it's about time you all stopped spewing your pro Lowe rubbish. History will show Lowe as being a disaster from every aspect possible. A disgrace to the city of Southampton.
  19. I agree, it's outrageous Rupert hasn't been prepared to do a deal. But then he's never claimed to be a saints fan.
  20. Morph, do you think Rupert enjoyed making that phone call when he returned last summer...?
  21. Nail on the head. Lowe will probably make an offer, but he won't be able to compete with the other offers that will be on the table. IMHO
  22. Which is why i think a thorough review is needed to find out whether they were a duo or if there was a definite number 1 and number 2. The way they were unveiled suggested they were a duo. Maybe Wotte was sat up in the stands watching and giving tactical input? I don't know and i think questions need to be answered at the end of the season.
  23. Like i said, i'd want to know how much he has contributed to "all that has happened" this season.
  24. That isn't what i said. A thorough review of what the hell was going on at management level for the majority of the season needs to be done and then decisions can be made.
  25. He has to stay til the end of the season obviously. Then in the summer is the time to find out how much influence he had with Jan during the rest of the season. They were brought in as a TEAM and if they were working together as a TEAM then he should be sacked as well for that team's failures. It may turn out he let Jan deal with the first team whilst he dealt witht the reserves, in which case it would be a very different scenario
