How will you be voting on Thursday in the Euro and local elections?

Cortese speaking to BBC for first time since leaving Saints
holepuncture replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Reading the article really made me miss Cortese, what a c*nt but his vision was clear, I loved it and for all the fluffy home is where the heart is guff, save our stripes and staff matches at SMS.. well frankly I couldnt give a sh*t about any of it! I am annoyed beyond belief the media, the club, KL & RK, the Don, Poch, Shaw et al have all allowed this circus to happen, its spoiled the end of our greatest ever PL season, our greatest ever team (in my lifetime), our players in the WC squad, and the highest point on our pheonix rise from League 1. I thought the same, it certainly undermines the boards position and ambition, and if KL wont sell to an NC group out of spite or whatever then she certainly wont like being exposed in this way via the BBC of all media channels. -
The guys that post on here/have posted perhaps?

You may recall a thing called the hero-villain-swing-ometer, pretty big down fatpipe central. Theyve all had the same treatment, rack up a couple of defeats and awfs will be demonised and promoptly hounded out of the septic isle.
-
Its not me, though I would LOL if they were to be banned.
-
LOL Well that didnt take long! Spend all the clubs money on stupid mercenry contracts instead of the obvious and urgent maintainence that is required, conveniently forcing the HNWs to increase their investment. How much was their initial investment? £50K? So, imagine they end up £250K in with the skates. No problem, cause when they have flattened fatpipes and sent pompey off to moneyfields that investment will be worth 10x that. It was all so simple, no wonder Chinny smelt a rat in the PDT. #factless propaganda push 2015 - the magical 26%

Its cringeworthy watching this WUM troll backtracking, at least Barry Sanchez held his ground (RIP).

Pretty horriffic reading in your Telegraph article. It will all come to a head at some point, I doubt this one will be 'the straw that', but it will happen eventually, like it is in Denmark: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/denmark-bans-halal-and-kosher-slaughter-as-minister-says-animal-rights-come-before-religion-9135580.html

LOL, very good, it sums up my concerns precisely. Although on a serious note, Panorama ran a small docu last night about the Islamification of UK prisoners. When the big bald bloke appeared on the TV I was utterly amazed, ive seen that nutter preaching with his mob in the West End a few times over the years. I always assumed he was a thoroughbred Jihadist, turns out he converted whilst in jail. He is the bodyguard of the highly contraversial Anjem Choudary (sp.) http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0444flh

Absolutely and for FWIW Veho are a reputable company who make respectable consumer technology products. I think this must be their major one time punt at creating a global brand as their isn't huge money in their business or their current list of products. The cynic inside me would suggest that Veho taking on GoPro is like me selling home made apple juice trying to take on RedBull! Great synergy between Saints and Veho as we embark on our mission to spread our global message. Good luck to Veho and I look forward to buying my Saints branded speakers! Does this make us pioneers once more, with our radio station, home made kits etc?

LOL good point, although on balance it is a totally different offering, Subway present themselves as a US/Western centric brand, curry houses are independent family business more often than not. For curry houses, kebab shops etc, the issue runs far deeper, its the appalling hygiene standards that let them down, and the blatant mis-selling of products: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-27047970

I come as a young man asking for sincere advice...
holepuncture replied to Rasiak-9-'s topic in The Lounge
As I said it wasnt particularly thought through, although I did sugegst 'parents/grandparents IMO', you have applied my interpretation to the former for your (very topical)examples! People often talk very proudly about how many generations they desend from, its nothing to be ashamed of. In Germany or France for example, you will find families who will proudly boast how many generations a family has been native to a town or region. Similar to a family established business in a local area, a proud military history familiy, all sorts really. Not that I will be voting, but ukip in their manifesto are saying they will prioritise local people for local housing, as it is only fair that native folk that have been in a town or region for many generations should be put first. I absolutely agree with that, though im sure I dont need to spell that out. Back to the OP, this young man is asking for sincere advice as to how he should best interperet and respond to situations he perceives to be hypocritical and ultimately unfair, Ive tried to provide my take on things as a fellow young man. How about we get back on topic and help the poor soul find his peace with the world. -

*Bred* sorry about the typo, took me a couple of checks to work out why you were referencing loafs of sliced bread before realising my mistake. I meant to type 'born, bred and raised', however I accidently typed 'born, bread and raised'. Im not sure how far back we go really, it wasnt particularly thought out, just a rough explanation as you requested it. Parents/grandparents IMO, though this is now going beyond the OP and his request for sincere advice. -
The is uproar on facebook etc by the vocal majority over the decision to stop serving pork in a number of its stores. Some media outlets are saying it is a blanket ban, others around 200 shops which are in Halal centric areas. Subway is a franchise so there isnt a great deal the company can do if a franchise decides not to sell a certain sandwich or a type of meat. Either way the 'native' Brits are absolutely fuming on social media and on the face of it Subway have massively shot themselves in the foot. Look at their official facebook page, it is a total PR disaster. In the past, I have eaten a meatball Subway and some other Italian meats option. Though this was three or four years ago now, I thought it was pretty rank on both occassions and have never wanted to have another, and the latest uproar simply cements that for me. How does the lounge feel about the Subway Halal Scandal?

My definition would be 'born, bread and raised' in the UK, by 'native' parents who again fit that criteria. You can follow my advice, whatever it is. Do whatever you feel comfortable with, follow your heart, be kind to your soul. -

My pleasure, sorry for being so pessimistic! As I say, have a plan in place for the future, whether that is Australia, Canada, here or somewhere else. There is still plenty of opportunity for you in the UK as a young man, and there are still many really good parts of the country which are not being 'affected', positively or negatively, in any way at all by all the change we have grown up experiencing. FWIW Ive given up voting, locally or nationally, Turkeys Xmas etc. Laugh it off! Good luck. -
Ive not really followed the whole Carson Yeung story too closely, however he has been found guilty and sentenced to six years for money laundering. Its not who you know... http://www.scmp.com/news/hong-kong/article/1131822/soccer-dream-over-hong-kong-businessmen-carson-yeung-and-balram

Assuming you are a ‘native’ British young man, I’m afraid you are simply going to have to keep your thoughts, feelings and opinions to yourself in public. Whatever you say you will be shouted down, your opinions are invalid due to your traditionally perceived status in society. You have no voice, sorry. Just vent your concerns anonymously online, or informally in local pubs. Anyone with half a brain can picture how this is all going to end up (socially and economically!), just take care of yourself and your own, let the rest get on with it. Have a plan for the future. Laugh it off. Good luck. -
As SFC have been doing this for a number of years, Lotto tickets for the Saints Foundation (well over £1m raised IIRC), I would like to congratulate that pioneering south coast club for once again showing us the way with this trailblazing new initiative, truly innovative, simply the bestest. Will it conveniently be a consistent rollover for all eternity? At what point will the trust pop up to say that they have been taking a 50% cut all along?

Ralph Krueger - post-match comments in hospitality suite
holepuncture replied to SaintBobby's topic in The Saints
Barry, you put a lot of time and effort into this site, well done, I find it amusing and appreciate your work. With your latest idea, going after Les Reed, how about going down the whole blackmail angle, in that he simply knows too much to be 'purged', and KL, RK etc are well aware of this hence theyre running scared. -
SuperLOL. They should start knocking it out to the local kids too, by some more share/donations innit.
-
No mate. This is a classic 'false flag' operation. KL is simply saying to other clubs bidding on our players 'put up or shut up'. Stating our players are not for sale increases their value. RK wants to sell more season tickets and hospitality, so he needed Reed to make a pro spin PR statement. The bookies are rarely wrong. All talk and no action, actions speak louder than words. No smoke without fire, this is a smokescreen. Read between the lines, the ommissions, what wasnt said. The use of the word 'probably'. etc

Hows the Tesco deal going? Hows Chinnny?
