Apologies, looks like the ban wasn't permanent. It is now.

As others have said it really depends on the drafting and how reasonable the clause is. Eg my company has clauses in our contracts that stop our staff from trading with people they held a relationship with during their employment, but what we cannot do is restrict them from performing their profession within their industry.

Getting rid of an office that few or departed employees do not use is sound business sence. One mans cost cutting is another mans cutting of extravagance.

Just because he may get a bonus for finishing 8th wouldn't mean that he would play a lesser team for the cup. What you are complaining about is the implication that others have made from it. For all we know he might have got a bonus for winning FA Cup and thus Europa League qualification. Writing to club on the basis on an internet rumour and a post by Glasgow Saint is laughable.
