Toby Alderweireld Signs on Season Loan - Official
Colinjb replied to Aziz Yebda's topic in The Saints
Cover at right back as well as a capable centre back. Excellent depth in a position that could have been troublesome. -
I agree with the logic of it, but if you do not aim high, why bother aiming at all? You will never attract good players if the club inherently lacks drive and vision.

Pleasing for me that the 'plan' appears to be led by a manager who has personal ambition and seen potential in our foundations rather then the chairman. It makes us far more credible if a person with Koeman's profile and reputation says it rather then our ex-hockey coach chairman. A subtle difference, but one that makes me hope that we will have returned stability and the possibility of punching above our weight.

Only two with Taider returning to Italy.

Human beings are priceless, all life is invaluable. How is Shane Long not worth 12 million?

Yeah, thanks for f**king up the channel order. 405 was hardwired yet now it's 401. Just who the f**k do you people think you are? And as for stopping SkyGo on consoles for free..... you utter scumbags..... (Only half sarcastic.......Say hi to Ro Andrews if you know her.... You bunch of c*nts) Yes, i'm really p*ssed off with Sky, their lack of support for many phones (when low rent games firms can manage for all.......) and their total arrogance.

On the contrary, the guy is a blinkered whippet. I make that judgement from watching a lot of football, yes he can control a ball while travelling and shoot, but he is helped by the team he plays in, trading him for Jay would be very short sighted. Besides, he is still playing for Spurs, why come here?

An England international as a makeweight for a 14m deal. No. The principle now means more then the money in this window.
-
I would be missing him had he not shown his true colours. F**k him.
-
I want to believe it....

Yes, how dare a football fan, on a football forum start a thread relating to one of the most critical days on the footballing calendar and his emotional reaction to it. If you don't like the thread you don't need to contribute.

Harsh. Just like Billy Sharp getting us over the line to the Premier League and then being discarded. Sometimes in business individuals are sacrificed for a greater whole.

Transfer deadline days have always tended to be a massive anticlimax. Yet I know I shall be hooked to Sky Sports News all day.
-
I would expect an alternative.

I always thought we looked best with Fonte and Yoshi at centre back that year, like in the Liverpool game when Jos had to be subbed due to injury in the first half. And yes, he did look good alongside Jos too, who deserves a little more respect then he often gets
-
Credit where due to Yoshi, he has reasserted himself well in the side and recaptured the form that saw Fonte and himself contribute towards our comfortable survival in 12/13. Hope he continues to play this well when called upon.

No Van Dijk for Celtic today against Dundee.
-
Stop feeding the troll. At least it doesn't need to argue with itself this time.
-
The multiple username troll has no honour by definition alone. At least it's not arguing with itself now.

I admire the optimism.

It says a lot that it took the best part of 8 months for any mention of the news reports stopping to appear on here.

I agree with the sentiment, but there are a lot of reasons why, the chief of which is maintenance costs, the old wooden stands at places like Blundell Park are horribly expensive to keep, hence why many are just left to go derelict. (Mansfield's old Bishop Street Stand for instance.)

Cortese wasn't here. He had the ambition, regardless of whether he was the predominant power, he was a driving force in the club. He went, the vision went. It is that simple, image can mean a lot. Now our current powers that be need to build their own vision. If we have an exodus on the final day their position will be untenable.

The existing poster who set that up wasted a fiver you mean. That terrible joke didn't last long.
