  1. Actually, I do offer more respect for people who have chosen a career that fundamentally defends our sovereignty, freedom and way of life.
  2. Following on from my prior comments, I use an Xbox 360 in my bedroom specifically for the iPlayer/Sky Go type apps and it works brilliantly, I have also been able to synch it with my desktop computer to stream all my music to it. If you can pick up a 360 on the cheap, I would go for it, you will certainly save money and have greater versatility over another sky box via sky multiroom.
  3. Something the blue few seem to be overlooking/ignoring. By going into fan 'ownership' their glass ceiling has been taken down a large amount. Regardless of how much they crow on they are not, have never been and will never match Barcelona's path, they are barely up to Exeter City's as they now are.
  4. Realistically, that's all we can compare it to.
  5. £520 renewal and money off in the club shop? Excellent!
  6. Right. Mortgage applications at the ready.......
  7. Nicely editted video. Still can't take the champions league ambition talk seriously mind!
  8. 1. Chelsea - The return of the 'special one.' 2. Manchester City - Pellegrini will only fall marginally short 3. Manchester United - A difficult first year for David Moyes, but will finish strongly. 4. Liverpool - Stability in the off-season and upward momentum under Rodgers. ------------------------------ 5. Arsenal - They simply can't carry on creeping into the CL forever. 6. Tottenham - Bale will not be able to carry them on his own for two seasons in a row. 7. Swansea - More consistent league form from the Swans with no cup runs and added focus from a local rival. 8. Newcastle - A now stable squad will grow together. 9. Saints - Solid progress and at least a cup semi final please! 10. West Ham - Andy Carroll as the top English scorer. Hoofing their way to mid-table 11. Fulham - More 'meh' 12. Cardiff - Will surprise a few I feel, Malky Mackay will invest wisely. 13. Everton - Following Moyes/Baines/Fellaini will prove difficult for the next manager. 14. Aston Villa - A much more comfortable year but the young squad will still have their rocky moments. 15. Norwich - Failing to inspire but will do enough to survive. 16. West Brom - Steve Clarke's side will pay dearly for losing Lukaku. Their relatively poor form of only 4 league wins in 2012 from the second half of the season will carry over. 17. Stoke - Only just scrapping survival but on a downward spiral. ----------------------------------------------------------- 18 - Hull - Well organised but unmittigated tedium, simply cannot score. 19 - Sunderland - Will implode spectacularly, Di Canio will leave chaos in his wake. 20 - Palace/Watford - Pretty but not good enough, maybe the potential for either to 'do a Blackpool' and attack well and gain the neutral vote.
  9. If I was to get a next generation games console, this looks very appealing. Focusing on total media integration into one place while also allowing traditional gaming. Albeit there is a need for streaming (hopefully not the only way games will be available, the use of a blu-ray drive and 8 gig hard drive indicate it won't be) and DRM restrictions on playing your games on other people's consoles is not great. The launch price will be important but I'm impressed. After the abject failure of the WiiU, the ball is now in Sony's court.
  10. Do I want a club that spends money without regard in an attempt to be successful and **** the consequences if things go wrong? No. Would I be happy supporting a club which is propped up by a businessman/estate who can support our ongoing ambitions for success even if it may be a little beyond what the club could achieve if it had to be self sustaining? Yes
  11. I have it. Works very well, exactly the same content of sky go mobile with sports/films if its part of your package. It is only in SD though.
  12. Bizarre. Extremely aggressive. Yes. The idea of a chairman playing games to get what he wants is a bit new..... but still.... a very odd article. As for singing Katharina's name. Who knew about her true role until Saturday morning?
  13. Short memories? We remember the player he was and the shadow that has taken his place for the last 8 years. He could/should have been so much more.
  14. That'll do. Bring on the summer.
  15. At least Boruc has a summer to recover from whatever issue he has.
  16. Please stay about the same. It's going to be an expensive summer anyway....

    Kenwyne Jones

As Noodles said, he was suspended for that game. One of the few players who really shone that season, have got a lot of time for Crouchy.
  18. It's a fair point Kraken. However, The negativity generated by the initial announcement via the press would surely have been anticipated and therefore intended. As such it helped to underpin the good news when it came. As such it has to be appreciated as an excellent bit of PR and manipulation. I too hope we go back to our way of handling things internally as it is the most professional way to operate. When things are leaked though it only serves to emphasise them. Yes. The situation at the club is political and could be fragile. For now though, our ownership is clarified, future course clarified and almost everyone utterly satisfied and happy about it. Outstanding.
  19. Nonetheless. He rightly gets criticised when the PR side of things isn't well handled, even if it's not the primary focus of an event. Here, everything has lined up beautifully. Be it by accident or design... kudos to the chief. He has played a blinder here.
  20. An honourable man who genuinely loves playing football. Of course he would be emotional at the prospect of never playing professionally again.
  21. We shall be witnessing the end of a wasted career.
  22. In a weird kind of way. We are actually agreeing then. Just one page ago you said I was wrong in saying Cortese has played the PR card well here... now you see that he has used the media to great effect to get what he wanted and stir unprecedented unity in the fanbase. Are you feeling ok?
  23. It real has been....
  24. Bring them in. They have seen the light!
