  1. Almost more importantly at this stage, it will give us some hope. It will make following the team interesting rather then futile. And from the club's perspective; Lose the fans, lose even more revenue.
  2. The phrase your are looking for is 'f*cking abject.' Christ, what are they putting in the water over there?
  3. Nathan Jones delivered success beyond all measure for Luton. Martin delivered the same failings we have seen in our own side for both Swansea and the franchise. While reveling in nauseating praise for his flawed playing style that drove their fans mad. In this duel of the damned, I would be wanting the lad from the valleys every time.
  4. How can someone who has led the club to promotion and a record breaking unbeaten run be so intensely dislikable? Smug, arrogantly and resolutely self assured despite the reality in front of him. Seriously, what idiot, after seeing a pragmatic reaction to necessary circumstances work and deliver success (promotion) DOUBLES DOWN on his original, clearly flawed principles that nearly cost everything dear? He's f**king insane.
  5. Don't forget fitness coach.
  6. At least he was self absorbed in a full-on parody way. Behind the ineptitude was a bloke who I personally wouldn't have minded having a pint with. Tee Total he may have been (pretty sure I read that somewhere) but he at least he would have gone for a Guinness Zero. Russell Martin on the other hand probably wouldn't want to even enter a pub.
  7. We must sack Russell Martin.
  8. 2!!! Smokin' Joe!!
  9. What time is kick off?
  10. Sounds like the Coerver method.
  11. Noticed this a lot when I used to coach. Floated the idea with my assistant manager at the time of maybe putting the kids into height/weight categories rather then age. Allow there to be a skill rather then physical focus.
  12. Of course he was watching, he will feel vindicated that England have copied him.
  13. Fair play Greece. That defending really was like watching us.
  14. F*ckin' Carsball. All credit to Greece. Oh look, a barely deserved equaliser.
  15. The strength he has in managing the team's moral and the various characters in the dressing room is probably what is keeping him in the job. That is clearly his main strength as a manager, it's a shame he doesn't have the same instincts and flexibility with his tactics.
  16. Vastly preferred this when Nigel Adkins was in charge.
  17. Absolutely.
  18. Clearly, we shouldn't judge Martin purely on the merits of an away game at what is probably the best club side in England at the moment. But despite some positives I have seen nothing today that tells me Martin should keep his job. Same weaknesses undermining anything good we try.
  19. It'll get you every time.
  20. Harsh but fair.
  21. Would rather watch him in his preferred position under a different manager before making a judgement.
  22. Perhaps he dared question the manager, who is clearly doing a great job.
  23. So, yeah. Putting the strikers on the bench will do it, right Russell?
  24. That interview was like Nathan Jones without the comedy.
