  1. Very arrogant of Labour to denounce their loss due to Galloway's media profile. As already pointed out, he tapped into the constituents worries/needs and was voted in accordingly. Credit where it's due.
  2. I am still trying to accept only a 1.6 in 100 chance of us not getting promoted.... That's crazy!!
  3. When it's from someone who is quite happy to perpetuate the image of 'voice of the fans,' it is a problem.
  4. As critical of Nick as I am, a reason for why he was denied should have been made known. Either way views like the one's expressed there reaffirm my view that individual fan representation is dangerous because an individual will always have a potential to air feeling that is contrary to the 'mass' verdict. Mind you, a critical eye can sometimes provide perspective.... yet here my own personal feeling is we are seeing views of someone who due to personal history cannot provide a balanced opinion on how we conduct ourselves at board level.
  5. Remember that Nick Illingsworth is someone who has crossed swords publicly with Nicola Cortese. Just saying.
  6. Stockings if she is wearing a corset. Bare legs otherwise.
  7. Well, if we send Coventry down I wouldn't be able to go home.
  8. Crude, very crude Sam.
  9. Ah, Neil McCann, the final piece in the puzzle. Under Poortvliet we'll be fine!!! I don't rate that Kelvin, a liability. Ricardo Fuller is our best striker. David Prutton will go far! Quality player.
  10. Yes to all the above.
  11. Will that work outside of the uk?
  12. The best day out I've ever personally been involved with (couldn't afford/wasn't eligible for an Fa Cup final ticket.) as a Saints fan. Cup competitions are still special. I'm sure zchesterfield is partying tonight.
  13. I want to believe, really. I'm just too cynical.
  14. I still believe we are finishing third. It's just how it works.
  15. Looking forward this now, 7 games left, progress in all areas. Lovely.
  16. Relax, the East Midland is an eyesore anyway. Let the gasworks flourish!!!
  17. That really was edge of the seat stuff. Such a shame that Perez made that error and also stayed out one lap too long on the inters. Sauber and Perez should have won that, they may never get a better chance.
  18. Sergio Perez is looking really strong. Surely he can do this!
  19. What a statement from Nigel, take off Rickie, the talisman and let the squad shine. Real bottle to do that. Delighted for Billy, surprised at the vigour of his celebrations. If I was a Donny fan I would feel a little aggrieved. Great win. 5 from 7 needed now.
  20. How's the training going then guys? I've managed 10 miles for the first time tonight, hurting a bit now mind. Achieved it in 1 hour, 39 minutes and 19 seconds. Rather pleased, 7 months to get quicker now.
  21. On the basis of my straw maths. 50 million in costs after outgoings.
  22. All in, I reckon 50 million pounds of spend. Outgoing: Assuming 20 players on 10k a week for the last three years, a club purchase price of 25 million, And player purchases of 6 million. Incoming: Crowds of 15k per week over 25 games per season paying 15 quid each and player sales of 12 million. Really basic maths. Rough estimate. (These are the only variables i've worked from.)
  23. Relax, it's sarcasm more then anything.
  24. Reminds me a bit of Burnley, defeated Man Utd, got great praise for the atmosphere at Turf Moor, a proud history, reasonably well known club yet no need to move away from a ground that is antiquated on at least two sides. They just arn't that big, just like the Skates. The blue few simply arn't that special, and to suggest otherwise is an insult to the rest of the footballing community. It's up there with the 'Geordie Nation' boll*cks as one of the most deluded stereotypes in the modern game.
  25. Don't forget the boil in the bag burgers.....
