Skates mk 2, Gotcha. Naturally though the Cherries fans are savvy enough to be questioning this, after all, they lack the webbed toes of the few and have a few more braincells?
-
Frankly, i'm not too clear about the details. Russian guy buys out 50% of the club. Ok. He seems to be quite rich, where are the pitfalls?

Taking the absolute f**king P*ss as one.

Yeah, he has been slightly 'lubricated' ahead of this interview. Mark Chapman did well and showed him to be the prat he is. Thank heavens our neighbours are nuts.

Post game indicates after.

I think it's reached the time of the season where I can safely say the following. Stick your consolidation up your ars* you f**king troll.

Didn't they have the temerity to laugh at our 'Lowe Out' rally and march all those years ago?

I shall be in Wetherby (market town, 12 miles N.E. of Leeds) for this one. Wearing colours may not be wise.
-
On the contrary, on the longer runs i've done recently i've found a bit of breeze and rain to be really very refreshing! After 8 miles or so and turning back onto the sea front that would be bliss!

A player criminally underused when we were relegated from the Prem.

Nah, I'll wuss out of that one. You don't get rich by throwing money away.

Not immediately. It's obvious that Cortese isn't the easiest of bosses to work with and the role of Commercial manager requires someone of some determination to make work. Good people with often have dissagreements. Lets see how number 4 fares. I bet he lasts more then 9 months.
-
Natural to worry, but I think you may have hit the nail on the head. A healthy scepticism should be encouraged though, lest we end up like the Skates.
-
When our progress on the pitch stalls or hits a glass ceiling, that would be the time to properly question. In the mean time, if that's our biggest worry it's simply a secondary concern.... an ok point and observation but nothing to yet dwell on. I know of many companies run by utter b*stards that are extremely succesful. The industry I operate in is macho and very ego driven, not dissimilar to football. A belligerent ars*hole seems to be exactly what we need. And as Cortese is the man who brought Saints to Markus attention in the first place that buys him a fair bit of leeway from me anyway.

You don't need to tell me, i'm an area sales manager! You make a good point but as I said, balance can often be a good thing. My company has just seen someone new come in at executive level and the effect it's had is remarkable. Familiarity is preferable, stagnation is unforgivable.
-
Maybe not, but a fresh perspective or men brought in for a specific purpose can often do a lot more in 3 months then an older hand can in 3 years. But yes, there is a balance.
-
Perhaps negativity can always be found if you try to look for it. In the same way that ignorance can be bliss. Is either way perfect? No. But a balance helps.

His work was obviously done. As for the head of catering, has he tasted those boil in the bag burgers?!?

Sorry Rupert, you're on your own with that one. That statement from Andronikou is very, very interesting indeed. Now, do we believe a word of it?

Poor baby. I would suggest starting a collection for you but no, our money isn't good enough for the bestest fans in the whole wide world. But hey, it's not all bad. At least when you were experiencing the good times you prudently managed to develop your own academy and have the land and players to fall back on now the worst has happened. Oh, and not forgetting the magnificent 36,000 stadium that you possess that can be sold off. Oh.
