Nah, I'll wuss out of that one. You don't get rich by throwing money away.

Not immediately. It's obvious that Cortese isn't the easiest of bosses to work with and the role of Commercial manager requires someone of some determination to make work. Good people with often have dissagreements. Lets see how number 4 fares. I bet he lasts more then 9 months.

Natural to worry, but I think you may have hit the nail on the head. A healthy scepticism should be encouraged though, lest we end up like the Skates.

When our progress on the pitch stalls or hits a glass ceiling, that would be the time to properly question. In the mean time, if that's our biggest worry it's simply a secondary concern.... an ok point and observation but nothing to yet dwell on. I know of many companies run by utter b*stards that are extremely succesful. The industry I operate in is macho and very ego driven, not dissimilar to football. A belligerent ars*hole seems to be exactly what we need. And as Cortese is the man who brought Saints to Markus attention in the first place that buys him a fair bit of leeway from me anyway.

You don't need to tell me, i'm an area sales manager! You make a good point but as I said, balance can often be a good thing. My company has just seen someone new come in at executive level and the effect it's had is remarkable. Familiarity is preferable, stagnation is unforgivable.

Maybe not, but a fresh perspective or men brought in for a specific purpose can often do a lot more in 3 months then an older hand can in 3 years. But yes, there is a balance.

Perhaps negativity can always be found if you try to look for it. In the same way that ignorance can be bliss. Is either way perfect? No. But a balance helps.

His work was obviously done. As for the head of catering, has he tasted those boil in the bag burgers?!?
  11. Community Chest - Get off of your Sister and keep playing.
  12. Sorry Rupert, you're on your own with that one. That statement from Andronikou is very, very interesting indeed. Now, do we believe a word of it?
  13. Poor baby. I would suggest starting a collection for you but no, our money isn't good enough for the bestest fans in the whole wide world. But hey, it's not all bad. At least when you were experiencing the good times you prudently managed to develop your own academy and have the land and players to fall back on now the worst has happened. Oh, and not forgetting the magnificent 36,000 stadium that you possess that can be sold off. Oh.
  14. A twenty year old who has never played for their first team and only played at SPL level for Dundee, and scored one career goal for Forfar. Finally they are bringing in the youth, but of course, not their own! It does seem that West Brom are the only team willing to deal with them. Appleton's past coming into play.
  15. Another new trailer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmIIN6i1Cec Quite annoyed that I cannot find the Xbox 360 collectors edition anywhere now. Will have to download the extra content (a rather interting new party member.... no spoilers but it does mix things up a little!) rather then get it preloaded.
  16. What type of running shoes are you using mate? I used to be the same but I had some analysis done for me at the local running shop and they specified a pair of shoes for me that immediately cured it. It wasn't cheap (the shoes that is...) but was absolutely worth it!
  17. Here Corpy corpy corpy.......
  18. So, the meeting has closed. And what have we learned!? HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHA!
  19. Bolt cutters to the padlock?
  20. But they always wriggle out of it! How, just how can a legitimate business administrator mange that I wonder? Hmmmmmmmmm.
  21. Truly, truly beautiful.
  22. Having used to sit there, I would guess it's the trade off of miss a few minutes at the end of the first half to join a queue, or miss the first part of the second half when you join the back of the queue at half time. It can get pretty busy down there. The family end where I sit however is juuuuust right.
  23. Fit, capable, willing and more importantly already employed. That they havn't been filling in on the bench is a scandal.
  24. Who's taking part in it this year? I've just been talked into it by a mate. Thankfully I have now got to a point of being able to do 6 miles in a pace of 9 min 50 per mile and there's six months to train.... but i'm still scared of being incredibly slow. Is anyone else on here partaking?
  25. Good work mate. Welsh Rarebit indeed.
