  1. And here I was hoping for in-depth analysis of Le Tissier's tactical role throughout the 90's. Never mind.
  2. What a scandalous yet accurate assessment.
  3. MOTD will get record recent viewing figures, the BBC will see this a sign that the presenters are not needed, can them, then it will bomb. So, the BBC will see no need to buy PL highlights anymore, and will say goodbye to match of the day. As far as the Beeb is concerned that will be another problem/expenditure dealt with. And the public move onto pay tv and youtube.
  4. A Richard Chaplow without finishing ability on that basis. Would still want him next year in the Championship.
  5. Thank heavens they all count, because we rode our luck there. We are at least back in the fight now.
  6. 1. Moi 2. Moi playing in the next game 3. Moi continuing to be selected after this. Or, throw in: Bazunu (Not his fault), Diallo and Lyanco
  7. Yes. And it doesn't surprise me, just feel numb to it now. Exactly how that season felt.
  8. Pleased with that. A chance for players who really should be in our first choice eleven to shine.
  9. And this is it, the immediate response from WCC was that permitted development does not apply to maisonettes. I was looking at the same page.
  10. I'm putting this here in the hope that someone with a little more knowledge then me can help. My family live in a maisonette, it is by it's nature a leasehold with the usual limitations in development rights. We need a new roof, just replacement felt and tiles but as far as I can tell this needs planning permission. Certainly that is what Winchester City Council tell me, which I find baffling as we do not want to change anything about the property, just change felt and tiles in order to ensure it is watertight. A neighbour had a roof in an almost identical property replaced with no planning application. Looking at the planning portal, it is asking for drawings etc which seem completely out of means for what is an inevitable (albeit expensive) repair/maintenance job. Can anyone help here? This doesn't seem right.
  11. He is emblematic of our malaise since 2017. Cannot stand him as a result. Overhyped on arrival, has never shown to be at the required standard and continues to steal a living since. His continued selection makes a mockery of the other signings we have made.

    Ralph

Why hate him? He had just run his course.
  13. Hoping there's a touch of the Schneiderlin's about him. Too raw for the league he is in but capable of bouncing back after a year or two in the competition below.
  14. Bournemouth and either Leeds or Everton.
  15. The only solace I can gain, over the last two games if we had lost at Chelsea but won at Elland Road we would not have felt as bad. But this way around it does feel rather terminal.
  16. So, the Championship.......

    Cautiously optimistic about this.

Thought they had always been reasonably open about this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_State
  22. Diamond cut alloy wheels. Fragile, soft and incapable of lasting. Total style over substance.
  23. All I can think is if they've been frozen out recently then it may just be giving them a bit of time to reintegrate and rebuild rapport with team-mates. Clutching at straws here mind.
  24. Seeing the incident between Mara and Azpilicueta. Mara really commited to that overhead kick. Firstly, hope Azpilcueta is ok, secondly hope that doesn't knock Mara too much.
  25. This is, what is known in marketing circles, as surprise and delight.
