Swear they said this about Van Dijk.

Winners: Man City Relegated: West Brom, Fulham, Palace CL: Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal Europa: Chelsea, Spurs, Wolves Surprise of the season: Sheff Utd/Leeds duking it out for the best in Yorkshire just outside the European places. Burnley continuing to be boring but effective after their weird end of the season. Underwhelming: Everton. Ancelotti motivates egos, he doesn't coach mediocrity above it's station. First sacking: Woy. Saints: 8th or 9th. Praying for a good cup run.

FFS, being used as a stepping stone once more.

We have a 'special edition.' Clearly. 😞

Having been to our own Derby, nothing comes close to the raw hatred of Hereford v Shrewsbury. The only game where I've seen a grown man crawl over other people in the main stand to attack a family. Clearly not a massive derby, but the more localised, the more intense they can get. Fenerbache and Galatasaray only at number 6?

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

This is how we are doing it at the school I work. Along with one way systems to prevent intermixing. At break times as well, pupils go to their tutor bases, this will prevent the need for teachers being all over the place. As for looking after the kids during lunch time, there are duty rotas for that kind of thing, just like in normal times. The only pain will be the reduction in time we have to prepare/mark. I'm optimistic that it can work. Hell, I just want to be able to teach face to face again, remote learning was a waste of time for those who need to be in school most. -
Fantastic news, the intelligent, energetic full back we've needed for a while.

A good professional, who excels in one key area. Spurs will need to use him properly. Glad we managed to get a reasonable fee for him.

Giggs? Ask his brother’s missus.

I take no joy from that. Really wanted Bournemouth to stay up. From our perspective, the Ché Adams goal was moment of the match, a really cute bit of play and great finish. So important for us to have another striker firing. It was a routine victory, professionally done.

Very assured, quite promising.

Come on Bournemouth!
-
Yeah, I would rather not be the side to condemn them.
-
But now 2-0 down. So, as things stand and we manage to beat them on Sunday......
-
We were rather good. Still don't know how to feel about that. It's just so..... strange.

Players you would sign from relegated teams....

Echoing some of the thoughts above. Cantwell (Being chased by higher profile clubs I would expect.) Aké Trezuguet Brooks -
Bournemouth showing that they can take advantage of mistakes. They will not come up against a team screwing up like this again this season.
-
Well. That was a good few minutes for them.
-
That is absolutely sweet. Taking it further, why not quarters? Just like the commemorative shirt worn in the last game at the dell.
-
Highly irritating. But to play so well int the first half. We were the professionals, Everton needed the help. When we win at Goodison there will be wild celebrations, they are now on ice.

Like them a lot, nice nods to our history and without the usual over complication UA seem to indulge in. The sponsor logo doesn't look too bad on the home shirt, it's still atrocious but at least is not absolutely dominating. Using gold on the away sponsor/UA logos looks a little cheap, but it seems like a bit of an effort to fade them out so not to ruin the classic look of the traditional kit.

Oh. My. F*cking. Days. KWP man of the match for me. But that could fall for Stephens, Ingsy, McCarthy, Jan...... Not known us defend like that since Elland Road in 2011, and not known organisation in our team like that for an eternity. Ché showed his intelligence and class with that goal, clearly set up by Ralph understanding how Citeh operate, just so shrewd. So unlike us! An absolute treat, in front of the nation. We are Southampton.......... We've finally won at home.
-
I worry for Obafemi's professionalism. Clearly able and at times looks very sharp, others he doesn't seem at the races. Couple this with public calls from Ralph for him to increase his workload.... Concerning, however Ralph keeps sticking by him and he does keep getting opportunities. He is also so very young. There has been nothing of that sort with Ché, just a lot of frustration that he hasn't yet hit full, or in terms of goalscoring, any stride. I am inclined to pick Ché given the choice.... But there is clear potential in them both.
-
It was my understanding with James Maddison that we had agreed terms for him, had offered a contract and he was considering us. Leicester however, recent Premier League Champions and a move closer to his Coventry home made the decision a no-brainer for him.

I hold Bournemouth no ill will...... But the myth that they havn't spent much is a little daft. They have wasted a lot of money on players that have not improved them (like us over the last few years) and are now paying for it. The wages they paid on their rise up the leagues was also a massive gamble.
