  1. So Real Betis are playing at Westleigh Park? Well, it's a step up from Fratton. I would say the pre-season has been ok. I would hope that tomorrow shows a more settled side but all in all players have been given a chance and there are no glaring injuries.
  2. That's the spirit! Paul Wotton, you're so fine. You're so fine you blow my mind. Paul Wotton.
  3. And ignorance is no doubt bliss.
  4. CFSFC... I think you commenting 'What a Picture' in response to my match write up gives the game away ever so slightly. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/content.php?180-Brighton-1-2-Saints
  5. If you hear Ian Wright talking over some sketched match footage then that's it. It's only a brief advert, no direct mention is made of either Saints or Bournemouth but it is absolutely, certainly adapted from the Youtube link of Dean Hammond's goal shown above.
  6. In other words, the highlights. (Well, take the pointless celebs out....) They have them for every race.

Truly, truly genius. He'll still be paying that thing off now. What a total fool.
  8. But it's ok, the academy match v Winchester City will proceed as planned..... Losers. Their pre season trips to the states always go swimmingly don't they!
  9. Not a chance.
  10. Just saw the advert now. As a though, would the artist have needed the video takers permission to copy it? That is definitely taken from the Youtube footage posted earlier.
  11. Jonno Forte coming on v the Franchise. It was sh*t or bust at that point, he was the unlikely provider of a turnaround and Barnard's 3rd goal was the absolute icing on the cake. Had to leave that game early to get to Birmingham airport, was driving past Charlotte Place with Solent on when the final whistle went and just felt at that point, finally, that yes, we can go up automatically.
  12. Just read up on this. The BBC will broadcast half of all races and will show highlights from all races. Not as bad as it could have been.
  13. It's a shame we have gone yearly on the shirts but we had done well to resist it for so long. It is an obvious way to increase merchandising revenue and one employed by most clubs out there now. As for the design, loved the sash but it feels right to be back in stripes.
  14. For many home games you get the full 90 minutes. My god that new Saints badge swoosh effect gets tiresome though.
  15. Hadn't noticed if he was playing actually. If he did then he certainly didn't stand out. A lot of the players followed the academy template of 5 - 5.5 ft tall and blonde so it was almost a little tricky to tell them apart!
  16. Yep, really enjoyed that tonight. Lloyd Isgrove, number 11. As Dune says, good quality on the wing. A little lightweight but there were times when Kettering doubled up and still couldn't contain him. Ex Saint and Poppies trialist Phil Ifil had a particularly torrid time against him at right back. Aaron Racine was pretty good. Commanded the team well from the back and got stuck in very well. We missed two guild edged chances early on. Sam Hoskins put the ball over the bar in front of the open net and one of the defenders did similar from another ball squared in. Kettering came back at us after that but considering it was our 'development' team against a Kettering team that was only a few lads short of full strength it was extremely encouraging, the Steward in fron of me was quite surprised that the team out tonightr was just our 'kids.'. Jack Stephens was.... a little dissappointing sadly. Was caught flat footed a few times and made a few clumsy tackles on Kettering's best player; Their number 8 Adam Strachan. If you had to pick the lad who had played in league 1 and had been chased by one or two premiership sides it wouldn't have been him. A nice evening out, it was good to put a few faces to names as well.
  17. The season tickets for u11's are free in the family stand! By the time he's that age anyway you can send him chimney sweeping, that'll more then cover it.
  18. Let us know how it goes mate. My 3yr old step daughter has her first season ticket this year and any shared experiences will help!!! Haha
  19. At the age of 24, surely we must now ask, will he ever be?
  20. He's not had a good 24 hours has he!
  21. Ah, fair point.
  22. Are you on the club database? The sale of tickets for this game will no doubt be heavily regulated, I would expect them to go on general sale to people on the database, therefore you will have a chance at that point.... if you're quick. If you are not on the database then the question surely will be, how do you get onto it without buying a season ticket?
  23. A fantastic place to be. Let's just hope that the starting 11 would be strong enough to be at the sharp end, depth is nothing without quality.
  24. Yeah, that was odd. I parked in the town without realising you could park just outside the ground by the Leisure centre. Was a great atmosphere in there. Sheffield United v Liverpool was on the tele...... not sure why I remember that.
  25. Went up there back in 2006. Barnsley is a dump but Oakwell itself is quite a nice ground. There are three modern sides and a totally decrepid old 'main stand' along one side of the pitch. Not dissimilar to St Andrews really.
