Watching Harrison Reed look every inch the composed premier league midfielder...... Just highlights how much we truly f**ked our recruitment and handling of our young players in recent times.

Juan Larios - Official: Loaned to Deportivo Leonesa

Vegard Forren, Alledine Yahia, Federico Arias, Anthony Pulis, Marcelo Sarmiento, Kleber Chala, Tommy Forecast......... No, Larios isn't the worst. -
The only positive for me today, we are not cut adrift. Too fuming about the game itself.

Flashbacks to the Villa home game from the 04/05 season. 2-0 up, 2-3 down, that was the game when I realised that despite the new manager and new players, relegation was the most probable outcome come May. Really hope we don't have a repeat of that punch to the stomach today.

He is no nonsense. I don't like him, think he is a bit 'much', but i'm starting to respect him. That's more important.

Changing the team that beat Man City..... Why change something that had clicked?

Looks like we are, thankfully. Queuing up on their backline.

So, this is a refreshing change.

Played for Numancia and another side I think. Will make telling him to chase long balls easy.

Don't we all.

There's pashun...... And there's unhinged.

My. That was unexpected.

Just finished off the last of the Christmas Stilton. Lovely with some red onion chutney on cornish wafers. May go shopping for some new shoes in a bit, better then following the misfortunes of the millionaires wearing our colours humiliating themselves.

And for that reason........ I'm out.

In fairness, don't disagree. It really did feel like forever.

Right time for a change when Ralph left, entirely wrong man brought in. Pay him off, bring in someone capable of inspiring the players.
-
Given the glowing report, I just cannot understand why he would join us.

One thing i'll give for us being on a downward spiral since 2017, it at least makes me not regret missing so much football thanks to family life. Thanks to the new regime I know i'm not missing anything worthwhile at all.

There are many, many terrible teams in the league this year, we just need to be less bad then three of them. This is our main and sadly familiar hope for salvation.

Thanks to a mixture of family and finances, i've not been able to get to St Mary's like I used to, yesterday was a rare opportunity to go. Feeling the despondence in person was quite something. The soul of our club seems to have died.

Cannot remember a more pessimistic feel around a manager then this. Even Poortvliet had some blind optimism. This just feels doomed. Just what has he been doing for five weeks!?
