  1. A good result against a good side. The replay is a pain but happier to be in the hat for the next round then not.
  2. Had it on first thing at work today whilst marking. I thought it was quite brilliant. Effortlessly embraced canon, expands on ideas brilliantly and a very thought provoking if unsubtle critique of contemporary issues.
  3. May have a bit of a nosebleed.......
  4. The job being done on Zaha is pure comedy. JWP can every now and then can be the nasty little sod in midfield that we have lacked for so long.
  5. Come on, the Universities are just as much about trying to provide a cash influx to places that needed an economic boost as much as it is about providing education. All that sweet student debt propping up medium sized cities.
  6. Both sides made chances, Wolves took more of theirs. Disappointing defending considering how well organised we have been recently and a good reminder that we should take nothing for granted but not worth melting down over.
  7. Ok, now this feels more familiar.
  8. Tidy. Currently level on points with both Wolves and Spurs...... What odds on that at the start of December?
  9. Lovely finish by Jan.
  10. So, how are we doing?

    Yoshida

He has been my favourite player over the last few years. A connection with when we first came up, an important part of our best team in recent memory and a scorer of oddly excellent goals in unexpected fixtures. A tireless professional and above all from what I can tell a genuinely good person. (His biography has an odd title, but reads well.) Good luck to him should this be a parting of the ways.
  12. It appears that Dr Barry Gale has predicted we will lose. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51135214
  13. Ralph stopped putting square pegs into round holes.
  14. Could the 0-9 be under threat? (Of course not, but Villa look appalling.)
  15. Fair play to them, very balanced and even minded.
  16. Seems to be a bit of a theme right now: Spurs fans: 'We had an off day.' Chelsea fans: 'We had an off day.' Leicester fans: 'We had an off day.'
  17. Would cash out on Forster......
  18. Absolutely fantastic, organised, hard working, creative and entertaining. That was a complete performance. Fan-f**king-tastic.
  19. Good game this. We are really going at them.
  20. Yes, the Skates at home. Or Oxford United.
  21. Would hope that Klarer gets a chance today.
  22. I swear this has been Corbyn's key strategy all along, appeal to the youth, plant that seed and see the benefit in a decade or so to come. Build a movement over creating a coherent political force...... Although he did try to do that..... Try.
  23. On that hand, i'm against it. It's too clinical, sterile. Football was in many ways about the controversy, the injustice.... The moral victories even though the scorelines said otherwise. The debates with your mates about dodgy decisions that simply couldn't be called one way or the other. It's about celebrating what you have seen, not what is about to be microanalysed and retconed. I really hate VAR. Sod that we have benefited from it now, there will come a time when it goes the other way. And of course, it is still dependent on the fallable human bit that views the footage, it's just as crap as before in terms of decision making, only more drawn out.... Which makes it utterly f**king rancid.
  24. A decent enough point. Jenny and Armstrong once again showed their worth. Ings continues to read the game so well, we must pray he continues to stay fit.
  25. Yes, the Chicken/Egg scenario of needing to play to build up match fitness but not fit enough immediately to cope with the run of games.
