  1. Deserved an opportunity to say goodbye. Played in some of our finest recent teams, a key element of the sides that came 8th, 7th and 6th in consecutive seasons. The league cup final, the San Siro, unlikely yet occasionally excellent goals...... A tireless professional who deserves the greatest of respect. Good luck Yoshi, may we have the chance to see you soon.

  3. Yep https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/2020-01-29/announcement-southampton-football-club-kyle-walker-peters-loan?fbclid=IwAR0Xg6m91mExu1kujbdwaX5aMx5K52oE79DqsQU3VzE9KPkEnF6DdIjo17s Will he be more Ryan Bertrand or Stephen O'Halloran?
  4. A bit leftfield. Hopefully Valery is nearly fit again and KWP isn't shocking.
  5. https://tenor.com/view/zoolander-cant-turn-gif-14576817 Can't be bothered to embed it properly.
  6. Last time I felt like this with a signing was Bertrand. I hope lightening strikes twice, but would be surprised if it did.
  7. A wonderful sign of maturity from a player who has had such a torrid and difficult time. Possible captain in the making on this basis, pressure from adversity may have created a diamond.
  8. A good result against a good side. The replay is a pain but happier to be in the hat for the next round then not.
  9. Had it on first thing at work today whilst marking. I thought it was quite brilliant. Effortlessly embraced canon, expands on ideas brilliantly and a very thought provoking if unsubtle critique of contemporary issues.
  10. May have a bit of a nosebleed.......
  11. The job being done on Zaha is pure comedy. JWP can every now and then can be the nasty little sod in midfield that we have lacked for so long.
  12. Come on, the Universities are just as much about trying to provide a cash influx to places that needed an economic boost as much as it is about providing education. All that sweet student debt propping up medium sized cities.
  13. Both sides made chances, Wolves took more of theirs. Disappointing defending considering how well organised we have been recently and a good reminder that we should take nothing for granted but not worth melting down over.
  14. Ok, now this feels more familiar.
  15. Tidy. Currently level on points with both Wolves and Spurs...... What odds on that at the start of December?
  16. Lovely finish by Jan.
  17. So, how are we doing?

    Yoshida

He has been my favourite player over the last few years. A connection with when we first came up, an important part of our best team in recent memory and a scorer of oddly excellent goals in unexpected fixtures. A tireless professional and above all from what I can tell a genuinely good person. (His biography has an odd title, but reads well.) Good luck to him should this be a parting of the ways.
  19. It appears that Dr Barry Gale has predicted we will lose. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51135214
  20. Ralph stopped putting square pegs into round holes.
  21. Could the 0-9 be under threat? (Of course not, but Villa look appalling.)
  22. Fair play to them, very balanced and even minded.
  23. Seems to be a bit of a theme right now: Spurs fans: 'We had an off day.' Chelsea fans: 'We had an off day.' Leicester fans: 'We had an off day.'
  24. Would cash out on Forster......
  25. Absolutely fantastic, organised, hard working, creative and entertaining. That was a complete performance. Fan-f**king-tastic.
