  1. Memories of him dropping wide, shielding the ball and bringing the rest of the team into play. He was so much more then just a finisher, a complete forward at his peak.
  2. Boruc Clyne Van Dijk Aldeweireld Bertrand Lallana Wanyama Schneiderlin Mane Lambert Ings Subs: Forster, Fonte, Yoshida, Davis, J-Rod, Romeu, Pelle
  3. What makes you think I havn't already got one?
  4. I'll give that. This shirt, which I have nicknamed "Cortese's Revenge" and clearly the same pattern as the shirt we ended up with was discussed quite openly on here when the return to stripes was unveiled 6 years ago. As Badger stated; widely discussed here: https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?49230-2014-15-Kit-Revealed-TheStripesAreBack/page31#.XqLdFMhKhaQ
  5. Put CB Fry and Pilchards together......... Hint: Some forum research will help.
  6. Part of the way there.
  7. Neither of those two.
  8. Ok. What colour was our 2014/15 home shirt believed to originally be?
  9. -Wrong thread-
  10. Sub appearance v Everton. When we signed him they offered a deal for his name and number on the back of your shirt. Hopefully not too many went for it.
  11. Got it: Eric Hassli.
  12. Caceres?
  13. Past their best is past their best, doesn't matter about the age. On that basis I nearly said Phil Ifill.
  14. He was fantastic against the Skates in the Derby after he joined, so couldn't put him in. After saving that Patrick Berger shot, 'U.S.A! U.S.A!!!!!!'
  15. Gk - Miller DR - Jermaine Wright DC - Perry (Although I thought he did alright for us) DC - Jermaine Wright DL - Makin MR - Ripley MC - Jermaine Wright MC - Redknapp ML - Kanchelskis S - Euell S - Dixon
  16. Kelvin Davis? (Never struck me as particularly tall.)
  17. Now i'm learning something. We had an Amber and Black away kit?
  18. Yep.
  19. Thought that was from 1943-69. (Great reference)
  20. A player lost one of their fingers during their time playing for us in a gardening accident. Who was it?
  21. Christ was it, had a pint of lager in the very large concrete concourse to warm up. Birmingham away in 2012 in the same vein. Tried the girlfriend trick with Saints v West Brom in April 2013. Thankfully it was ineffective. Also a non-league game around 2002. Folkestone Invicta v Margate. Had the worst burger i've ever eaten, just slime in a stale bun, how I didn't get some awful pathogen I don't know. Did attend a game on the day of 9/11. Woking v Margate, evening kick off. Just eerie. Burnley away in 2006. Didn't see the one goal we scored as I had the pleasure of seeing the game from the exec lounge due to a business connection of Dad's. Benedictine and Burnley, that night I learned the story and enjoyed the hospitality of Burnley Miner's Club. Also, everyone wondering 'Who the f**k is Kevin Miller?'
  22. Luis Boa-Morte?
  23. More a case of picking players that are good enough without clashing with others. Please share your team.
  24. Always quite liked Stefan Kiessling
