Pretty sure people are referring to the journey needed to get there and back in midweek, rather than the standard of opposition. Maybe more winnable of course, although PL teams often put out their weaker teams.

Mixed feelings. Still buzzing from the result but we still seem to be patched together at the moment so the next two or three games will be a rough ride. RB position looks weak and who's going to replace Charles and Downes if injured? We've got plenty of strikers but is there a 20 goal player there. I guess/hope these type of things will be addressed over the coming weeks. Appreciate AA was a mistake but that aside, plenty to ponder still. That said, they'll be confident going to Ipswich.

It is a tricky position but it is also of their making (I appreciate that's obvious). Appointing Spors was a sensible move but he isn't going to be a miracle worker. We're busy talking players but Still might prove a disappointment. There are so many variables it makes my head spin tbh. Just hoping for a decent performance against Wrexham to indicate some chance of a decent season.

Agree with all that but there has to be some concern over the mental fragility of players who were so terrible last season, constantly losing games, often heavily. I hope we get off to a good start, but a couple of early defeats it could go horribly wrong. It's why for me, we need fresh faces who arrive without the, dare I say it, scare tissue.

The earning bit usually comes to the fore because the agent/family agent see their commission coming in to view.

I bumped in to him in a cafe a few days after it was announced. He was in his own so I had a brief chat. He told me he didn't want to leave but was told by Lawrie Mac it was a done deal. Who knows what was true but it was hard to see him go.

Decent amount I reckon. Always felt we signed him purely on pace. My dog is quick but he can't cross or shoot for shit.

Always seemed to give 100% in games but TBH I was never convinced about his defensive capabilities. Often physically bullied off the ball. But good luck to him, deserves a move.
