I’d have more respect for him if he called everyone out at the club. Imagine calling out the players and those above you for the incompetencies and shitshow and all it’ll cost you as a few quid. This is what I was saying yesterday, that whole “technical director or director of football” role - it’s absolute bollocks. They make all the decisions but don’t see the flack of it goes wrong. The “head coach” nowadays is the fall guy. They just get a bundle of players thrown to them and told “make it work” and when it inevitably doesn’t they get sacked. Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, West Ham and now us are three examples of where it is going horrendously wrong. You can’t tell me that many of those clubs signings in recent years have been their head coach’s decisions.

No he’s just saying it as it is. He regularly talks about it as things are on Total Saints Podcast, but he’s tended to be more careful in the way he’s worded things. Now even I think he’s sick of it. He might not be a supporter but he views this and enjoys football and must be just as baffled and confused at the club, the team selection every week.
