  1. Paul Trollope comes across really, really well. Johannes Spors comes across in control of football business, I guess jury is out on that until the end of the window. Phil Parsons just seems very business-like, nothing wrong with that.
  2. Who sanctioned a poor player a new contract? (Jack Stephens) How is Jack Stephens seen as a leader? Is Tyler Dibling sticking around? Are we going to have an increase in squad depth? What is the boards target? Autos? Generic promotion?
  3. What a waste of a first question. Have you learnt anything from relegation?
  4. What’s the point in this thread? It just looks messy now, posts taken out of context from other threads.
  5. Lennon Miller Jesuren Rak-Sakyi Jack Rudoni Plus maybe another wide player and full back would be nice
  6. KWP was number 2. Joe Lumley was number 13. No real reason. Some players like to keep the same number whether it be preference or superstition. We've gone years before without a number 5 or 6. It’s all pretty meaningless.
  7. It’ll all be about commercial revenue and the food available for selection in the ground. Nothing exciting.
  8. So basically no real change. It’s the same numbers from pre-season. Who’d have thought it?
  9. Let’s put the Tyler Dibling rumours into context: - He was upset and homesick after moving to London. - He lasted four weeks before returning quietly to the club. - Most rumours generated are by fan accounts that are now being picked up by club fan accounts (eg. SaintsExtra) which makes the rumour seem more substantiated. - He had a breakthrough season last year, but was tainted by the shite he had around him. Some games he looked decent, but some he went totally missing. - “If” he wanted to leave, do you think his next dream move would be Everton? If he put a foot wrong the locals would batter him within seconds. - £50m for someone who has scored only two Premier League goals? Yeah I’d take it, but I think he’ll end up somewhere else. - But that’s the last thing, where does he end up? I don’t see him ending up at any of the top six now, they’ve all gone for far better established attacking options. They aren’t spending £50m on a largely untied kid. So that leaves abroad - which I don’t see happening. Or your teams outside the top six, Villa? Forest? Brighton? None of those I see as feasible either.
  10. So with the above post in mind: Ben Brereton Diaz to Newcastle is complete. HERE WE GO! (And all that bollocks)
  11. I used to know a couple of people within the club, two of the transfers we got in at the end of last summer I called in late July. Although I don’t hear as much nowadays. Thats why when I read things with no substance on social media and then they end up on here I just roll my eyes in embarrassment. There were two “rumours” yesterday morning alone. A few years back I posted a fake rumour and within maybe 48 hours it appeared on here. 🤣
  12. I’m purely suggesting that if we want to be going for promotion then we need to be targeting the better players, or certainly ones that are capable of making the step up 😄
  13. Unfortunately, they might not be able to spend the same amount or more money for every position. Hope this helps.
  14. I’m also basing it on the fact that 99% of the fan base said how average our defence was two years ago, how many goals we conceded and how we didn’t sign good enough players for the Premier League. If he couldn’t hack it playing against us four times that season then what benefit is he? Has he kicked on since then? Especially if we’re looking to go up again, surely we want better players?
  15. Tom Fellows didn’t look all that in the games we played against West Brom two years ago 😅 He’ll fit right in
  16. Second load of shit I read today and it’s only 9:40 🤣
  17. I find it incredible this thread gets almost daily updates. Where’s Mark Wotte’s thread? Or Alan Pardew’s? Or Ruben Selles’? Come on guys! The bias is huge! 🤣
  18. A quick Twitter search show nothing of the sort. It’s absolute bollocks. 😂
  19. Nope. You’ve made that conspiracy in your head. Bazunu has had a good pre-season overall, you can’t fault him much. Stephens in club captain, and as much as he isn’t the best, we’ve arguably played better with him in the side. I don’t think he’s ever a worthy starter but to imply that Will Still has his hands tied is ridiculous.
  20. Rento Takaoka has gone to sister-club in France. Shock 🤣
  21. Well that’s absolute bollocks 😂
  22. Are there some on here believing the teenager from Norwich who’s tweeting transfer news about Everton for Tyler Dibling? 🤣
  23. Saints by the sounds of it saying “pay up or bugger off”. Another reason why I’m not overly bothered about if Dibling stays or goes.
  24. Saints going down the “put up or shut up” route 👍🏻
  25. Excellent write-up by Clarkey so far (above). I’m still not convinced with Dibling, yes there’s been lots of rumours but I also think there’s been a lot of news outlets or “journos” jumping on the bandwagon copying and pasting. Steve Grant made a good point on Total Saints Podcast this week; in that if you’re a top six club you’d be wanting more than two goals a season which is all he has managed in the Premier League and also you look at Everton, they will have financial constraints on them, they will have a limit but is it somewhere you’d have put Dibling to go to, probably not, I can see another mid-table team like Man United putting in a stupid last ditch bid but Everton will have a ceiling.
