I was travelling back ahead of Mrs EoA, so when I'd finished packing and the suitcase was still half empty I offered to take some of her stuff so she'd have a light suitcase to manage without me to help. Consequently her stuff was on top, and when I got hauled over by customs and asked all the usual questions like where have you come from, how long you staying, are you travelling on your own ...' yes ' .... and the suitcase gets opened to reveal high heeled shoes, knickers, stockings and a fake fur coat ..... he gave me a of course sir when I said they were MRS Eoas and she was travelling later.... :blush:

Just a thought ... I wonder if Jaidi is fasting, seeing as it is the holy month of Ramadan and at a guess he would have been brought up in Tunisia as a Muslim. Kachloul used to fast during Ramadan whilst he was here. It might explain his even more noticable lack of pace on saturday and mental sharpness at times when on the ball. To be fair to his distrubution failings in hoofing, there never seemed to be any midfielders making themselves available for a short ball. Of course age is catching up, and 2 games a week are probably not going to happen, but he is certainly someone you'd like to have in the trenches with you when the going gets tough. Did Perry get taken up by anybody? His reading of situations often made up for his lack of pace and could be useful on a games played contract if nobody else has snapped him up.

Bizarrely I've seen the acts mentioned in the 1st 3 posts out here in Dubai over the last year or so ..... Paul Weller was absolutely brilliant and the best of the 3. Muse and Motorhead were still very good though. Also saw The Killers who were pretty good but being in a gig with 20000 others, queueing up 30 mins for a beer and being miles away from the stage loses something for me. Suprise of the year for me was Spandau Ballet (supporting Rod Stewart). Wasn't expecting much but have to say they were very very good indeed. Rod on the otherhand was not up to scratch, but watching his female sax player insert her instrument and blow it sure made up for it!!! Top of the bunch by far, so far were The Subways, in a small (250/300 capacity) nightclub. They were simply awesome, and only being touching distance from the band instead of needing a telescope to see them was a big bonus!!

As you stated in your OP, it's free 1st time. And as somebody else pointed out, the club have to safeguard against people saying they've forgotten it, giving it to somebody else and then they sit in one of the numerous empty seats. I wonder how many people realised that the club would let you in for free in the first place? Your post will be useful for any genuine forgetfuls who may have given up on going to the game once they realised they'd set off without their ST and gone shopping with the missus instead.

Reception was fine, but the fact that we didn't get any post match reaction, interviews, phone ins etc is a disgrace but to have the skates commentary is beyond a joke. I've sent an email to the club for what it is worth.
