Just checked as an example if I had to use alternative flights to my booking over Easter, Dubai - Geneva (not with BA, but shows that a refund won't cover the ticket prices on offer now). When I originally bought my ticket, it was 400 quid, now the alternatives available are Qatar Airways at 525 but has a 1hr connection which if missed, next flt 24 hours later :cool: Next up Lufthansa 708 but would mean missing my last day skiing and an overnight in Geneva :smt009 Closest to the original times ie a couple of hours extra both directions, 824 on Swissair. The actual schedule that I am on is now selling for 1194 pounds :confused: I'm sure this would be the same sort of % increase in most cases. So excuse me if the 'you can claim your full fare back and book elsewhere' line some people are bandying about, doesn't impress me much.

Schools break up on the 26th .... strike starts 27th, pretty cynical if you ask me :cool: . Easter holidays aren't just for the Easter weekend. Luckily my family holiday which I booked in Sept doesn't involve flying with BA, but to say it would be no problem to rebook on another airline and 'probably' at no extra cost ...... yeh sure. Rearranging en route connections / transport / car hire / hotel check in-outs etc etc as timings are unlikely to be the same now, that is if you were fortunate enough to find any empty seats on one of the busiest weeks of the year. Hope no fans making the trip back home for the JPT Final are affected as well

If you listen to interviews with Matt Le Tissier, he still speaks in glowing terms about the family he stayed with and all the help and support they gave him in adjusting to life away from his own family. Without them we may never have got to see everything that followed if homesickness had forced him back home to Guernsey. Some soulless bedsit/hostel or a real family atmosphere and someone to share your problems with ..... you choose.

Within 10 minutes of arriving in Eastleigh on my last visit to Eastleigh in August, my teenage daughters had seen a gang a 12 year old Fakeberry clad scrotes try kicking in the toilet door at KFC because it was locked and the manager was only letting KFC customers use them. The little scum bags then went round asking everybody what the effing ell they were looking at before leaving the place. A few mins later opposite The Post Office, 2 mid 20 yr olds walking towards each other, neither would slightly alter course so the old shoulder to shoulder shove and then the standard "ÿeah come on then c*nt" before one of them turned around and promptly dropped his trousers and mooned the other guy :smt108 My young teenage girls thought all of this was great entertainment after the rather sedate happenings in our Malls. At last they'd actually seen some real life Chav Action in person, after hearing so much about it

Ummm .... back to where we were at day 1 of the season :cool: Sorry, not meaning to take the mick mate Just think we are going to run out of games to make up the gap as the one or the other of the top 6/7 seem to make up for one of them faltering each week .... except for last week when it was our turn As AP said, he wouldn't be heart broken if we don't make the play offs from where we are, nor would I, so lets enjoy the ride whilst it is still an even very remote possibility. The more teams we really stick it to between now and the end of season, would make any of or players who are possible transfer targets think that next year really would be our year ... why move away to teams in The Championship or Mickey mouse Prem teams like Wigan, Blackburn or Bolton. ... look at how good the crowds / atmosphere are when we are in 10th place .... just imagine what it'll be like at the top of the ladder

Spoken like a true fellow Eastleigh Gentleman I find it incredible, that a) anybody would go to such lengths to slag off fellow Saints Fans, and b) would constantly slag of 2 of the few players who could genuinely be classed as "legends" for what their individual skills did in perserving our status as a top level club for so long. To belittle Tims efforts in everything he has done for Ron, as someone who started watching football when Ron was King (but by todays standards paid a pauper) and his sadly departed wife sickens me to the core.

It would have been much higher if so many "fans" hadn't taken the easy option and moved overseas chasing more money, better weather and life styles and become Expats.

Just Back from Not Being At The Game ...... do all the web sites in the world rely on one persons input and then distrubute it around all the agencies? I only had access to BBC text and Saints Player Text, which were virtually identical, and neither mentioned anything about a disallowed goal :confused: And last week every (even Sky) agency put us 2-1 up with Papa scoring a pen .... luckily I was able to be in The "Not be at the match but listening to the commentary overseas" category that time so wasn't directly affected by it. Post match celebrations of a few pints of Kilkenny at the pub on the way home from work, and now a few Old Specky's being a cyber warrior on behalf of The Expats ... LOL.

Basically like any all away games then ..... a great day/weekend ruined by 90 minutes of football At least we do draw / win more than we lose at the moment which is a bonus!!
