LOL ... glad to be of service, but do not ever use the term "Tekkers" as I might not be so gentle next time
-
Some good Cup Runs and battling till the last game of the season for a spot in The Europa Cup, whilst playing attractive football and bringing through more players from our fabled academy. Flirting with a Top 4 place through the season, and bloodying the noses of some of the big boys, whilst crumbling to a few minnows - it just wouldn't be Saints any other way!! Please also let us finish above Scousehampton and the North london yobbos, and win all our matches against them.
-
So sorry matey, if only I'd known it was your first time, I'd have tried to make it so much more special and been extra gentle with you

I'm sure Les and the Lawyers have A Cunning Plan

Please don't use the term "Presser" .....
-
All this on a Sunday Night, god knows what will happen tomorrow!! More twists and turns than a twisty turny thing
-
 Stop it please.

Just means we don't have the first option of snaffling him up for a paltry fee ... we'll have to pay the going rate instead.

Can I rely on you for a reference?

Did he get stuck in The Channel Tunnel, or is he walking? ... he seems to have been travelling for about 4 days now!!
-
Whoosh ...... I typed that way for a reason

Just had a quick look at their pre season fixtures .... looks like they are checking out what life will be like playing non league in 2016/17 Havant and Waterlooville, Bognor Regis, Gosport Borough, Woking and Gillingham To be fair some pretty big local derbies in there, and no excuses for 250.000 of the finest to not make their way to each fixture with such short travelling distances!! Even Eastleigh have a better build up including games v Crawley and Swindon I won't even bother mentioning ours versus the likes of Valencia, Feyenoord and Espanyol ..... ooops I believe I just did

LOL!! Just read the article ..... has factless Allen joined The Echo? 12 one sentence "paragraphs" Not much in the way of facts, highlighted by the use of "Hope" and "Could" in the Headline. Fact avoiding use of "widely reported" and "äre now said to be" with no actual quotes. Virtually every sentence/paragraph has at least one of the following ..... optimistic, likely, understood, expectation, could, hope and believed. Having said that, I guess it is still far more accurate than The National Press stories stating that he is about to sign for, or having medicals, talking to to a whole host of clubs. Roll on Transfer Deadline Day!!

Well worth having a look through that, but really don't like the way the rest of the site is set up. Seems to be more about the posters than what they actually post!!

Time to revisit The Soul Cellar / Painted Wagon thread on here if it still exists? Don't let Canteen 19 (?) know though!!
-
Certainly would have been Liverpool next round .... a classic faux pas from me walking back to the car, telling a group exuberant Tranmere Fans that "I hoped that they would stuff the effing scousers next round" Luckily for me, either they were too busy celebrating or don't classify themselves as scouse

2 seasons ago at The Etihad, Nasri (?) about 10 yards offside before crossing for somebody else to tap in. You set the defensive line up and don't get the decision due to sheer ineptitude of two match officials. Also it qualifies for the bloody infuriating ranking, as we were bossing the game until the mini goal rush just before halftime
-
Funnily enough that didn't hurt so much, as to be honest they deserved it for their 2nd half comeback and our totally inept showing after completely going to sleep at Half Time asuuming we'd had it all sewn up. It was a great Cup Night for them and boy what an atmosphere. Only having to travel back to Lancashire rather than all the way back to Southampton possibly helped take the edge off it as well to be honest!!

If you are of a certain age, it has to be without doubt Adrian Heath's goal for Everton late on in FA Cup Semi Final at Highbury. Around the same era Anderlecht's late goal under the floodlights at The Dell after pulling back a 2 goal deficit when Jim Steele misjudged the bounce on a treacherous wet and muddy pitch. More up to date, the jammy screamer The Skates got after the fiasco surrounding the was it or wasn't goal by Billy Sharp at SMS which got the pikeys a futile but heroic point!!

Great ... that's my Family Sunday Roast off the agenda on my trip back to God's Country with the Norwich game being changed And the Man U game being put just out of reach even if the few extra days I've put in for get approved!!
-
Pretty much agree with everything you've both said!! Going For The One is probably my favourite, but Relayer and Close to The Edge are right up there too. Rocking along to Going For The One at this very moment.

I thought Brentford had bought him when I saw they've just shelled out 2 million on a A Bellend ;-)
-
Is he Dutch? Has he ever played under Koeman? Are Spurs/Liverpool trying to buy him? I think the answer is no to all these so it must be a lie!!
-
...... or maybe he was enjoying being on Honeymoon and doing what HoneyMooners do, rather than updating FB/Twitter Status!!

I've met Dubai Phil on numerous occassions - bloody nice chap (when he isn't talking about Golf!!) The only other celeb I've met for more than a fleeting moment was MLT - and can honestly say you'll never meet a nicer guy. He was out here in Dubai doing a Dinner/Speech thing at The Dubai Golf Club when they were showing an Eng v GER friendly pre WC 06(?). He came over to our little group Dubai Saints and signed everything asked of him, posed for pics, and sat and chatted with us for ages and even spoke to one of our groups wifey on the phone back in UK, to tell her that her hubby really was sat next to him!! Also he came over and gave us a heads up before he went to the desert buffet to give us a chance to get something before he'd scoff the lot What a gent!!
