  1. Would be a great fight.....explosive even. Not sure Khan has learned his lesson even now. As for Hatton he would be up for it.
  2. I can only apologise......but being mentioned in the same light as MLG is an honour. Perhaps the Big Issue is an innocent man walking to his death at the hands of those whose job it is to protect him.
  3. This is correct, I mean the Big Issue seller bit...the policeman had no obvious motive..force used was not proportionate.
  4. My thoughts exactly
  5. It is not melodrama......if someone can get carried away and steal a bottle of water but still get 6 months, whilst a policeman gets carried away and knocks a man down who subsequently dies is freed, something is wrong. Of course it was a tragic accident....but had the policeman not strike him with a baton, he would probably be here today. One man's life versus one bottle of water... Trouble is Delldays, you are programmed to obey orders and to not question authority, it seems like I am the opposire of you in this regard.
  6. Then maybe we live in a police state then.....most right minded people would i am sure, think the policeman in question was guilty... Its only a few months ago that the lad who stole a bottle of water during the riots got 6 months. Luckily for me I am law abiding.
  7. It just seems inevitable that he would be found innocent. I have seen the film over and over. I will be interested to read the judge's direction to the jury...
  8. I am not surprised........this does not do the police any favourz
  9. We got to the ground early enough to get a few autographs....they loved the whole evening. I bought them each a Saints shirt as well. Two new Saints fans.......
  10. That great.....we'll drive down from Newbury
  11. Does anyone know whether I can pay on the day for this. I am hosting 2 kids from the Ukraine and due to the probability of bad weather we have cancelled our seaside visit tomorrow and this gives me the opportunity to take my 2 kids to St Mary's. I tried to buy tickets on line but couldn't....something to do with them be unable to deliver the tickets. I spoke to someone in the ticket office who thought we could buy on the day. It would be great to get them to a game....... Any guidance gratefully received
  12. Swindon away......1 nil
  13. Lets wait and see. I have doubts about him being able to cut it.
  14. Key players in the Libor Party: Angela Knight, Michael Fallon, Terry Smith, Michael Spencer. What they all have in common: They all support or work for the Conservative Party They’ve all been involved in the Libor sector for years They all have obvious conflicts of interest The five organisations involved in this cosy crony-club are the British Bankers’ Association (BBA), ICAP, Tullet Prebon, The Treasury Select Committee (TSC), and the Conservative Party. Michael Fallon is Deputy Chairman of the Tory Party, a senior member of the TSC, and a senior Board member at Tullet Prebon – a company described to me last night by a City insider as “dominating the Libor sector”. At least three of the major institutions reporting on Libor rates are known to be Tullet clients. Fallon may thus have been questioning one of his clients when he interrogated Bob Diamond of Barclays last Wednesday. Angela Knight was until recently the CEO of the BBA, an organisation on behalf of which she gave misleading Libor evidence on at least one occasion. She is a non-Exec director of Tullet Prebon, and she used to be a Conservative MP. Michael Spencer is the founder and CEO of ICAP, the largest Libor-sector money brokerage in Europe, he used to be the Tory Party’s Treasurer, and he (and his company) last year donated £1.3m to the Conservative Party. In 2010, Spencer was censured by the City for selling £45m of ICAP shares three weeks before issuing a profit warning. Terry Smith is the CEO of Tullet Prebon. Derek Tullett, founder of inter-dealer broker Tullett Prebon, was listed as ‘a major contributor’ to Tory Party election funding during 2010. On his Board he has collected both Fallon and Knight, and although Fallon says Tullet’s “helped to nail the banks” that must in turn have put Angela Knight into an awkward position, she being the UK’s greatest defender of both the Banks and Libor. Smith spent the first five years of his life working on the investment side at Barclays, and is an Associate at the Chartered Institute of Bankers. Is Britain still a country where the chosen few look after each other and ignore the law? If the conflicts outlined above do not lead to a judicial enquiry at least, then the answer must be a resounding “Yes”. from my favourate blogger
  15. Agree with the poster above good for a while but faded a little....not sure he did not get a little bored

  19. I am moving tomorrow fish tank and all......
  20. There is some logic in what you say. All empires grow and die....
  21. Are you equating yourself to Monsanto? Anyway the first firm I thought of was Monsanto. The are loads of investigative journalists you could read to broaden your mind. Once you do...it's impossible to go back.....to believing our media's version of some ( not all, obviously). What exactly is going on in Europe with the Euro........are there bank runs in Greece Spain France?
  22. Assange has not been charged with any crime as far as I know. Have I missed anything. Last I heard, the Swedish authorities wanted to speak to him. The suggestion to have an interview via video was rejected by the Swedish police force.
  23. I think you will find more people like me who are certain that we are lied to - or more accurately, information that's not in the interest of the govt of the day is not made public. Monsanto asking the US government to punish Europe in some way because opinion was so anti GM food comes to mind. Have you noticed how GM crops are now being grown albeit under guard. How did opinion change, who agreed for GM food to be grown. The way politicians go into industry or into government.... Assange exposed a lot of that. It seems he must pay....compare how he is treated for example to bankers. Are any of them under house arrest? Criminal charges for bankers?
  24. and I was there it was my second game
