Another vote for the katsu curry. To die for

Thought I was away with work for this one, turns out now I'm not! I'm in London so if anyone has one spare let me know - bennew@hotmail.co.uk cheers
-
Thanks for letting me know. Normally get them delivered to my London address - still nothing. Phone up yesterday, no apology, they just said they will re-print them on the day
-
did they come this morning? I ordered some on the day they came out - still nothing

Good luck to her! 3 years ago since I went and picked mine up. Seems like a lifetime ago. I always feel that the drama and excitement of getting your results is now ruined by the email/text you get from your uni saying if you're in or out. I think I got a text at 8am from Warwick to say I had a place, then had to wait until 11 (maybe 12) to actually open the envelope. So I already knew I had good enough grades to get into Warwick, so it was a bit of an anti climax when I opened them. A great day to (hopefully) celebrate the culmination of 2 years of work!

Personally I think Soho Square was crap. Really crap. But it would be the best place to watch the game, where I watch the CL semi finals.

Totally agree - worth noting my mate is a big Steaua fan, so likely to be bias! My colleague said he wouldn't be able to chose between Gardos and Chiriches when watching them both for Steaua, so maybe thats a benchmark for his 'quality'. That saying I've hardly seen anythig of Chiriches
-
the lowdown from my Romanian work colleague - "Gardos would be good for the premier league I think. He's good in the air, he's relatively techincal (not as much as Chiriches, but doesn't take that many risks either). A tall and dominating player. He's been injured for a few weeks though, and has been sent off for a couple of nasty fouls, so he can lose his cool. I hope he'll stay though, we need him in the champions league" Based on nothing whatsoever I've got a feeling this guy could be a real find. Then again, I thought that Oscar Gobern would develop into a world beater. It would be great to have someone nailed down next to Jose at the back. Unlikely to feature against Lpool, but if he does sign we need him and Jose to strike up a partnership rather quickly. We need all the points we can get from our relatively 'easy' games at the start of the season.

Agreed that Shaw was stronger going forward than Chambers. He is faster is 'built' more like a winger compared to Chambers, hence Wenger playing him at CB in the Emirates cup. However, I would say Shaw also had an ineffective final ball. From a quick Google he only had 1 assist last year ... my memory is awful and cant even remember it. I assume Chambers had none. Poor quite poor tbh, especially with the formation we played under poch. I just felt last season that Shaw seemed to be getting 'Done' more than Chambers. Maybe that's due to Shaw being further up the pitch at times.

A bit of a blunder from the ticket office. I would have thought you could find most peoples email address and postcodes with a little re-search. Also noticed there is no queuing system this morning, I was on the site dead on 9 and was straight in.
-
Agreed with this, he was also better than Shaw last season IMO
-
Agree with others that this sale is the worst so far. Opinions may differ but for me he was our first choice right back. He will be an England regular within a few years, I have no doubt about this. Hopefully this re-investment happens sooner rather than later. We have been riding on a big wave of momentum for the past few season with the back to back promotions and the rise up the league. With the players that were the heartbeat of that now gone its going to be a very interesting season that's for sure. Wish Chambers all the best. Up The Saints.
-
Thanks for your first-hand account. Might be a change than what we have been used to for the past few seasons then!

Don't understand the fanfare around playing Clyne at LB. With our system we get most of width from our full backs, not wingers. If we play Clyne at LB he will just cut inside to use his left foot, reducing the width we have. Without Lallana this will be even more important than last year imo. So LB would be Targett or new signing for me.

If Fonte is a nailed on starter (which at this rate it looks like he is) he's got to be captain. Saints through and through.

Terry Connor 100/1....

I remember Adkins first Reading interview - thanked Southampton and the Fans. Nothing from Poch, although apparently he has written an open letter to the fans ...

Honestly can't think of another badge that looks better ... although maybe i'm biased.

2 more ACA exams in June. Only 3 to go until qualification after that. Then time to crack on with the CFA ...

With a main listing on the horizon I can see GKP recovering well over the next few months. Markets overreacted on the Competent Person's Report IMO

Up from 71p to 84p last week. Currently trading at 81.25p. Got a target price of 88p.

Had an absolute shocker with some Aim shares earlier in the year. Put me off the aim market for a while. Made a bit back on Lloyd's and Perform Group but hardly enough. Take a look a Speedy Hire, with the economic "recovery" it should do quite well.

Massive game. Get through this and we are one game away from Wembley. Got to play our strongest 11.
-
If I had to pick one it would be Chambers. Although I feel Pochettino will change depending on the opposition. I remember when we played Palace away in the championship Lambert really exposed Clyne's height.

Personally I would say no. As much as I was devastated when he left, I just don't he would suit the teams playing style anymore. He is my favourite manager in my lifetime at Saints, I enjoyed his sayings, his interviews and unity that he was instrumental in. I honestly can't wait for him to come back to SMS so we can give him the send-off and appreciation he deserved when he left.
