  1. Recent filings to CH Special Resolution - Extract “I, the undersigned, being a director of the Company hereby certify that the subjoined special resolution in writing has been passed as a special resolution by the single shareholder having the right to attend and vote at general meetings of the Company: Special Resolution THAT the Company's capital be reduced by the transfer of £25,988,244 standing to the credit of the Share Premium Account to Profit and Loss account.” Statement of capital – Ltd company as to file these every year. Has to file an additional one if there has been a reduction in share cap. Statement of solvency – this states that the directors are of the opinion that the company will be able to pay all of its future debts. Directors statement – this just states that the special resolution has been conducted inline with laws and regs. The next question is why would a company want to decrease its share cap : It could be to write-off a accumulated losses on its profit and loss account, so that dividends can be paid much earlier. (Unlikely) OR - clean up its balance sheet so as to reflect more accurately the capital employed in the business, where capital has been lost. OR - repay to shareholders part of its paid-up capital where the capital is surplus to foreseeable requirements. Make of that what you will!
  2. Gone with: Cech Ivanovic - Coleman - Evra Morrison - Coutinho - Hazard - Noble Bony - RVP - Van Wolf Subs - K.Davis, Yacob, Faye and Gabbidon. RVP is so expensive so have had to take a bit of a hit on the midfield.

    De Ridder

That goal against reading is all I can remember him for and that really tells the story, and his obligatory yellow card. At least we will never have to hear the awful “stevveeeee” chant again! I still think Saints could have got some money for him though. How much did we sign him for? 800k rings a bell. Fans (mainly on twitter) are happy to defend increases in ticket prices with the argument “it generates revenue for the club to sign better players”. So surely we could have got a few hundred thousand for De Ridder. Admittedly this isn’t much, but publicly displaying that they are surplus to requirements surely reduces their value. Combine this with Barnard, Hammond and with the reduced value of Sharp are saints missing a trick? Or maybe it’s a case of clubs not wanting to pay relatively large wages for a mediocre player
  4. On those trains a pound is probably fair value for the upgrade! With a 16-25 railcard I can get from London to Norwich and back for £10.60!
  5. haha! I do feel I should share some of the responsibility for our exit. Maybe 60:40!
  6. Is he better than Ostlund? "Jesus is our right back la la la la"
  7. It would have been a lot worse if it was a must win game and we were still in a relegation scrap. Tensions would have been running a little higher
  8. Bottom it is then - Cheers
  9. Not been before, what tier is best for view/atmosphere?

    Harlem Shake

For anyone living under a rock for the past week - "it consists of users uploading videos to YouTube that last about thirty seconds in length and feature the opening of electronic music producer Baauer’s song “Harlem Shake.” The videos begin with the song’s sample of a man giving a shrieking siren call of “Con los terroristas!”—Columbian Spanish for “with the terrorists”—followed by one person, usually in a ridiculous mask or helmet, dancing to the song alone as the beat builds. He or she is surrounded by others who are stationary, blissfully unaware of the dancer. When the directive, Then do the Harlem shake is uttered about 15 seconds in, the bass drops and the video metastasizes into pure chaos" I did'nt really see the funny side at first - but the more I watch them the more i get ropped in. Anyone got any favorites? Here are a few of mine Also .... Luke Shaw ‏@Luke_shaw3 “@Moe_1232: @Luke_shaw3 I say the whole Southampton team does one ?!”don't worry you will all be seeing one soon Maybe we should have a poll for who is the guy at the start - Got to be Jos with his box head for me
  15. 2400 sold as of the other day. Hopefully be close to 3k on the day. Really looking forward to this one
  16. I think I have left it a bit late to get a good deal! on Virgin from Euston return with an 16-25 rail card is around £48. Cant seem to find anything cheaper - knew I should have booked it ages ago
  17. Anyone know if they have ticket scanners at Villa? Cheers
  18. I got 6A*’s 5A’s at GCSE and 2A*’s 2 A’s at A-Level (Maths, further Maths, History and Geography) and I did STEP II. Bottled Oxbridge – looked round oxford and just didn’t like it. (It was like stepping back into the medieval times) Looked round Christchurch, Jesus and another one. Got into Warwick for Maths (arguably harder to get an offer at Warwick than Oxford in terms of grades). A guy in my year that got roughly the same as me went for an interview and didn’t get in due to his “social skills”. That’s the way the cookie crumbles. Been a year since I did my A- levels – I know that in 2011 oxford weren’t recognising A*’s. This might have changed though. For a solid offer you are looking to get A*AA or A*A*A depending on the courses ect. (Oh and no soft subjects!!!) Good luck

    Amsterdam

Went in October for a mate’s 21st. Very strange city. We stayed in the bulldog hostel bang in the middle of the red light district. Very clean and friendly, well worth popping in for a drink or two. Best thing I think we did was hire bikes for the day, got to see the majority of the city, stopped now and again at a few coffee shops. Also did the canal boat tour which was interesting, but not good when you’re hanging. The RLD is just mad, quite a surreal experience but chatting to the hookers was always a good laugh. Enjoy!
  20. As others have said in the unlikely event anyone on here can’t go let me know. Can pick up tickets outside the ground ect. bennew@hotmail.co.uk Really think we can get at least a point out of this. Have GR on the bench for "impact". Punch should start.
  21. I'm in the From "9am on Tuesday 28th August until 5pm on Thursday 30th". Hope it holds out until then, what are my chances? This might be a stupid question but where is says "Season Ticket Holders will have their priority window for this fixture, both online and at the Ticket Office." Im guessing you cant book over the phone? For big matches in the past, eg Skates you could. Anyone know if/why they changed it? Cheer
  22. Sorry to hi-jack this thread but I also have a under 17 ticket for sale. block 38. £10 to anyone that wants it
  23. Didn’t want to start a new post, with all the Ramirez stuff, but the Wigan ticket thread was locked. I know I’m unlikely to find a buyer but I have a spare Wigan ticket available. Block 38 Row KK seat 1002. I know this isn’t sold out yet and it is also an Under 17 ticket so £10 if anyone on here wants it or know someone who wants it. Drop me an email bennew@hotmail.co.uk Cheers
  24. Yeah Young. He looked good. Stephens did have a tough time against their number 8. I think his name was Dumbass or something. He was the size of a small planet
  25. Just got back. Awful game but I got my pic with Nigel and spoke to him for 10 mins. He was out with the wife (who took the picture). Spoke to him about the new season, the U21 squad, City away. Seems like he’s taking a real interest in the youth, said he’s been playing around with a few formations in training. Normal Adkins esc. Didn’t give much away but a really genuine guy. Baranrd didn’t do his “shop window” credentials any good. He was poor. Forte was much of the same. I like the look of the number 2 for saints, seemed assured on the ball, playing a right back. Anyone know his name? Stephens played well, as did Sam Hoskins but nothing to jump around about. Lloyd Isgrove looked lively when he came on too.
