Dark days. Best team we have had in years, but the worst support. “Football in a Library” needs to be banned. As do the muppets who sing it.

Unfortunately quantity does not equate to quality. Surrounded by absolute tools last night who think that singing “Football in a Library” and “School in the Morning” to Bristol fans constituted support and humour. It did neither. Sadly the team mirrored this last night. We were due a bad one, I guess. Need to pick it up again on Friday, on and off the pitch.

Keep them all. But if Adam Armstrong and Che both get injured, we are in trouble. And for that reason, I would be using some or all of the Alcaraz loan fee to loan in a striker. Kiefer Moore would do; ideal to throw on in the last half-hour of a game if we need a goal in a close game. Not sure if we can loan more than 2 players from Boscombe though....

Really? I didn't know it was Ankersen's brother who set that up. Interesting.

I still think we need a striker even if Adams stays. Yesterday showcased that we simply cannot risk being in a position where we are reliant on Mara. I ended up leaving the ground yesterday thinking that he was even worse than I had previously thought, which I hadn't thought could be possible.

Well, we have Adam Armstrong and Che who can play centrally up top, particularly if we sign Benson, then Armstrong can revert to a striker. The moment Ross Stewart was ruled out for the season, we should have made a new striker the first priority. it is trusting to luck with injuries and suspensions to only have two strikers who can be a threat in this League. We didn’t have to sign Rothwell at all.

It’s not hate, FFS. He’s crap. Lazy, slow, little presence, doesn’t hold the ball up well. He has had too much game time as it is. He can only be trusted to come on the pitch when we are at least 2 goals up.

Indeed. And yet we still waste yet more time on the Mara experiment, which is destined never to amount to anything noteworthy.

If we sign Paintsil, we then have Edozie, Fraser, Paintsil and Sam Amo as wide options. Have a feeling that Edozie and Sam Amo may struggle to get much game-time.

We could do a lot worse than Kiefer Moore if Boscombe were up for a part-ex deal......

If we lose him to Boscombe, that will be particularly galling.

Or that Leicester sell Iheanacho and make a move for Che. His hometown club, I think.....

If Wolves sign him after that sitter he missed up there last season, their fans will be less than amused, I suspect.....

Everton fan on the Ugly board thinks we may be after Maupay in part-ex for Che. Useless in the Prem but might do a job in the Championship maybe…..
