as for the sms thing, is there a setting from within the message app itself to maybe disable notification and / or auto retrieve?

i have the htc desire hd and it linked facebook contacts to phone automatically (with the facebook for htc thing running), well apart from those that either didnt have phone numbers on FB obviously.

my daughter got caught earlier on this week on her phone whilst in class. Result was a 1 hour detention.
