Over the top? Are you sure? By the way, your location? Whats the meaning?

Shortly after the news broke I got a text form a Skate mate of mine, saying sorry about your loss etc, rivalry doesn't come into it..... appreciated. Just been on http://www.pompeyonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58775 and I cannot believ what is written on there... from the majority it has to be said. There is hardly a word of sympathy, in fact one post has a comic picture of a funeral! I am appalled that even the lowest of the low can sink to their depths, it's times like these that i can really realise what a bunch of pathetic morons that city produces, a city that floats on **** and washes over the majority of its people. Bunch of retards, all of them!

A new Saints Fanzine for SFC - on sale (v Reading)
Noodles34 replied to redandwhitebill's topic in The Saints
How TUI was street when was written by Clive "and his brown leather jacket" Foley is beyond me! I think Branfoot preferred OTM... Personally I think the art of a good fanzine is being off the wall, contentious and perhaps juvenile (as you put it), the definition should be 'not to be taken too seriously' and I always thought TUI was a bit 'old', fine for your 70's terrace boys but it never really came up to date for me. OTM went in a completely different direction which probabaly did not appeal to the purists at all, more to the emrging Brit Pop generation. RS and The BS came a bit later and once again, a bit straight for my liking. As I said 'off the wall' and you can't get any more 'off the wall' than hoping your manager is going to die (and that was definately juvenile) but you get (or not perhaps) the idea. I for one will be looking out for this zine at SMS, long overdue, **** the net, theres nothing better than sitting down at HT reading something funny and interesting, which is why i don't buy the programme! -

A new Saints Fanzine for SFC - on sale (v Reading)

good to see a fanzine back, woner if it will be as 'clicky' as The Ugly, as mundane as 'Red Stripe' or as funny as 'On The March', probabaly missed one I bet. -
It appears that Nick Illingsworth has been refused a season ticket

It was the first thing I thought of when I saw this on the news. If anything sums up this country today it was this and the following 'justice'. These guys will be out in less than 2 years for killing someone, and they were convicted of manslaughter because it couldn't be proved that they intended to kill him. If it was down to me I would bring back penal colonies and Île du Diable, if you have seen or read the excellent Papilon you will know waht I mean. 6 months for being a bit idiotic with minimal intent against 2 years for killing a defenceless old man waiting with his 4 year old grand daughter, it doesn't make any sense.

Help Please, Running a quiz and i am not sure of the answer!
Noodles34 replied to Noodles34's topic in The Saints

I am doing a competition and i think the answer is Danny Wallace, however, no doubt someone will know for sure and correct me if neccessary: Who was the last Saints player sold to Manchester United? Appreciate the comments.

yes, a simile to complaining

and my grammer etc, yes in this respect is poor, as i sit doing my proper job it is a quick few lines etc, as you can see i contribute seldomly unlike these people who clearly have the time to write thousands upon thousands of posts etc. I am not grudguingly grtaeful, I am grateful that it is him and not some dodgy Russion geezer etc, we have a decent bloke but lets not kid ourselves he is here because he fell in love with Saints and didn't want to see them go pop! Please, have a sense of reality.

er, there mate

Thats why he is such a great businessman perhaps, because he (or NC probabaly) spotted it. Did Paul Allen not spot it previously? Is he not worthy of a decent businessman accolade? Most people, Peter Jones etc wouldn't go near a footy club, but i bet if i (or any other Saints fan) sat down with him and explained the potential, what you'd get for your monbey, stadia, farm, training ground, well i reckon even he might have looked into it, but generally they stay away from football because unless you are going to invest even more (millions) then you probabaly aren't going to get a decent return. And maybe thats good for us, as fans we have an owner that obvuiously sees that as essential to his overall invetsment, thats why we bought RL and Fonte etc And don't forget, there aren't loads of business people out there with literally millions to spend on a footy club, lucky for us we were spotted.

sorry, didn't realise I wasn't allowed to contribute because I have a different viewpoint. I understand that some people can't read or understand English, if you can perhaps you can point out to where i was complaining? On the same point, I used the word thankful in my post, so that sort of makes your post factually incorrect, perhaps you need to read it again. What might have been if ML had not come along? We'd have been taken over by someone else, probabaly not as wealthy as ML, who knows, we certainly wouldn't have gone bust, anyone who believes that hasn't noticed what has happened in football the last 20 years, all this debt and one club going 'pop'. If you are going to reply to a post, have the decency and ability to make it relevant to the original, otherwise please don't contribute.

yea, thanks for investing in SFC, you know in was a fantastic deal and the return will be tremendous (if things work out on the football side as you are hoping), a club worth maybe 3 or 4 times the 12 million you invested. I take nothing from the takeover, i will enjoy the ride and be thankful that we have been taken over by a proper businessman, but these posts above seem to suggest that ML was some sort of guardian angel sent by God to rescue us. ML will enjoy the ride too, look at him at Wembley, i am not suggesting he does not care, but its all abou the deal and the return for him, nothing more, nothing less, and i suspect it might be good one, so you got to ask yourself one question: Who should be thanking who?
-
so if i am NOT warned to murder a child then i should be alright?
-
except the Boro equaliser in the 2 goal giveaway that got us relegated?

if silence was loud, his reply might sound like an avalanche! Funny when you put a usually vocal pragmatist on the spot and they haven't got a clue.... I'll leave it at that for now, i've heard enough to view his posts with the relevance that they respect.
