  1. not for most of us.....
  2. if only people wouldn't fling their bloody chicken fried rice everywhere, we'd be in the EPL!
  3. from a another post but more valid to this now... Good post, exactly how it was and is now, the question is do e need a group that we can all support. I understand SRS's concerns about The trust and people like Perry and Rich Chorley, its valid especially the ST supporting RL, that was pretty unacceptable by anyone's standards! Though things are going well at the moment they have gone well before, even during the tenure of RL, remember this is not ML's club, its ours and we will always need to be heard by those running it.

  5. yes I was there too mate, at all those and did a few other things to keep the momentum going.. I'm not havin a go at you personally or SRS, i might not agree with what you say, I don't always agree with what NI says, but he's asked and as i said, i don't believe he thinks he's the self confessed voice of Saints fans'. And i am not defending this Silverspoons malarky, I have just met someone who was there and they told me it was terribble, and Nick should sort something out. Its just some people on here clearly have a problem with Ni, it seems personal and most of the comments are perhaps unneccesssary.
  6. well I know how most Saints fans feel about things on the whole, we hated Rupert, we love Markus, we rate AP etc, etc etc, as i said he is asked and he gives and I don't think he clearly defines his views as everyone elses'. And once again, he has a view and thats why the media ring him.
  7. simply not true, of course they didn't get rid of Branfoot but I remember meetings whereby fans were encouraged to attend to show their feelings about how he was ruining our club, and plenty of people turned up. And who organised the red card protests at the infamous Newcastle game? What did you do? In fact what have you ever done to lead a cause? You may well have never been inclined to, which is fair enough but all this griping (in general not neccessarily about Silverspoons) about people who are clearly Saints' fans and on the whole have the club at the heart and most importantly don't just sit behind a computer keyboard under false names etc is really a bit much. I am not having a go at you personally its just the way things are, its called politics, if you have a group, you have a policy and clearly the agenda is to get that policy across and people agree or disagree, but the constant slagging of Nick is a bit much just because bloody Sky Sports rings him, why don't you give them your number?
  8. Personally i can't see the difference in what you say that they were like and your mate SRS who is forever spouting his opinion (usually drivel in my opinion), its just these days we have an internet message forum to do it. No one was ever forced to join SISA or The Trust etc, if you have a group then you have to have an opinion I guess and I never hear any of them say "this is what all saints fan want...." etc, if the Echo or BBC asked you what you thought of AP would you decline to answer because you couldn't speak for all 60,000 + Saints fans?
  9. and what was wrong with SISA? If I remember rightly we were being managed by some incompetent bloke called Branfoot and it was SISA that initiated some eventual resistance to it, don't remember SRS being too involved back then but I may be wrong?
  10. and we have a few that are complete ******s as well...
  11. just to kick things off again in respect to NC, I bumped into a former commentator (of Saints) at Wembley, I won't embarrass (not that he reads this no doubt) by naming, he still has a big job in football media, but he commented that "St Marys is not a nice place to work at the moment", we didn't go into any details suffice to say the rumours are true about NC and his style of management. This is not a judgement just an observation, however personally I feel to get the best from your staff you treat them with the respect that they earn. As for booing, I don't think any was for NC, even though i am not overly keen on him at the moment, to boo him on a day like that would be ridiculous, he's got a long way (and I hope he never gets there)to go until he hits the 'hate' height of previous CEO's etc, I certainly booed MalWhinny though and cheered AP throughout.
  12. what an educated balanced response, heres mine.... P r i c k
  13. Thats why she has a ST at #The Bridge is it!! Turncoat!
  14. I am not a fool, and I don't post drivel (well not always anyway), so aside from the personal insults.... For someone who has been there you have clearly learnt very little about their culture and because you have been there (I am presuming "completed 2 Op Herrick tours myself" means that you are in the forces?) does not make you some sort of expert who can dismantle any argument with arrogance and obstination because "you've been there". I've been to the region too, doesn't make me an expert but I did learn that whatever we do at the moment won't make any difference (the elections are working well don't you think?) except leaving more dead. Sorry but we are talking 'tribal' here and thats a big difference in attitudes, values and cultures than in the cosy, educated west. If they want rid of (and I would agree that most do in an ideal world) of the Taliban then the best way forward is to support from the outside and let them do it their way. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, just a few obvious examples of interference (for no other reason than political and stategic gains otherwise we would be ousting Mugabe and that little bloke off Team America, World Police who also plays Cartman as well) whereby we have/are failing because we do not understand the culture. I'm sure "because you've been there" you'll disagree with a barrage of insults..
  15. no problem, you had every right to read it like that originally, UTS
  16. fair comment in that context, but i am not advocating the killing of British or american soldiers, far from it. Yes, i don't agree with why we are out there and the boys doing a job demand the utmost respect and honour, i for one wish they could all come home. My comment meant that they (they Afghans) are entitled to fight for their country, values and traditions etc (whether we think they are right or not) and in general, who are we to come in and try and 'sort things out'. I would say good luck to anyone who has been illegally invaded, though the Afghans certainly don't need any luck, like the Viet cong, they are more than capable. To clarify again, this is not a slate on soldiers just doing their job that they have been ordered to do, i hope they all come home alive. Hope that clears that one up
  17. all sentenced to community service repairing potholes..
  18. All Afghans are Pikeys? Are you for real? I don't know if that is supposed to be racist, misinformed or just plain dumb, like saying saying all Dibden/Hythittes are just middle class nobodys! Theres a big difference between Portsmouth and Afghanistan, one being a **** hole that no one cares about, another being a **** hole because everyone wants it, but none more so that the Afghan 'Pikeys' who have managed to beat just about anyone who fancied their chances, including the lastest Johhny Foreigners and GI Joes! and good luck to them...
  19. yeah, we should sack shouldn't we! Whats tomorrows thread? AP doesn't like Frosties!
