  1. no, it wouldn't surprise me, as much as it wouldn't surprise me if you added Man City as the EPL's biggest spender. How do you quantify your rip off comment?
  2. was that answer really worth the effort of writing it?
  3. yawn, ****ing, yawn jesus, have people like you not got lives?
  4. I couldn't agree more, maybe a thread should be started about it, but I guess one of the full timers here would tell us we didn't have the right!!
  5. tedious, yes
  6. why, because it critises a load of saddos that spend all day on here, treat anyone with less than 1000 posts as part timers and is just a bit of a club for the ITK's, the wannabe ITK's and the people that can't be bothered to go to games, which one do you fall into Hypo??
  7. I'm so sorry i have ruined you life and that you dispair (frankly if you are dispaired about this then it must be sad life you are leading) , it has obviously affected you deeply, not the death, clearly anyone opening a new thread . Heres an idea, maybe we should have no threads at all except one, beacuse they are all Saints related anyway, or if you start a new thread and any of the words in that thread have been used before then you are banned. Because there is simply no point in having a forum whereby anyone (who joins) can start a or reply to a conversation about the said subject (Saints), plus we might clog up the net with 'too' many threads and maybe that would cause the end for all mankind. Maybe a better suggestion is get lost and mind you own business, no one asked you to comment, no one asked you to read it, and unless you are a mod then 'Lock it' is pretty unappropriate, you come across like one of the nanny state politicians who tells everyone not smoke, eat margarine or use a ladder to get cheese off the top shelf. Finally, that 'look at me comment', have a look at how many threads I have started and unlike the usual suspects on here, I do have a life that doesn't evolve around a 24h log on to this site, not bothered about people 'looking at me mate', already been there!
  8. We all feel so sorry, but all I can think is that he never got to see his dream happen. I have to say I was somewhat cynical of the takeover, everyone hailed Marcus as a hero whilst I thought, he's a shrewd businessman and see's this as a great opportunity to make money. But that didn't matter really (I mean there a few who do something for nothing), he rescued our club and though I believe if it wasn't him it would have been someone else, that someone else could easily have been Mark Jackson or even Micky Failpa, or whatever his name was. But during last season it seemed that though a great businessman, Marcus seemed like a genuinely nice guy, we will never know and it seems very few know him at all, but you can judge people by looks and actions sometimes and would Roman Ambrovich be taking pictures at Wembley with a little instant camera? No, he would be in a box surrounded by the Russian mafia, would Sheik Mansour be in a box, he probably wouldn't even be there, too busy counting his billions. Marcus was there and those lucky enough to have met him tell a story of an unassuming man, happy to walk from Wembley carrying a plastc bag with a programme in it, to stop and say hello. So my cynical side resided and I now believe that it may well have started out purely business but it turned into a love, just like all of us have expereinced. So what I am saying is that I feel so sorry that he didn't enjoy the good times (I am so thankful that he saw us Wembley, at least that was something) that are/were surely round the corner because it seemed like we are/were on a journey to a great future and I so wanted to see his smiling face, his red and white scarf and his respectful wave along the way, and I'm more sorry for him than me that I won't.
  9. they have been up since Weds
  10. Over the top? Are you sure? By the way, your location? Whats the meaning?

  12. Shortly after the news broke I got a text form a Skate mate of mine, saying sorry about your loss etc, rivalry doesn't come into it..... appreciated. Just been on http://www.pompeyonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58775 and I cannot believ what is written on there... from the majority it has to be said. There is hardly a word of sympathy, in fact one post has a comic picture of a funeral! I am appalled that even the lowest of the low can sink to their depths, it's times like these that i can really realise what a bunch of pathetic morons that city produces, a city that floats on **** and washes over the majority of its people. Bunch of retards, all of them!
  13. I think he deserves more than the standard minute
  14. still in a state of shock, bewilderment and sadness, difficult to take in really, even have to say that a bit of my love of the club has died tonight, we will go on but you now wonder what might have benn....?
  15. How TUI was street when was written by Clive "and his brown leather jacket" Foley is beyond me! I think Branfoot preferred OTM... Personally I think the art of a good fanzine is being off the wall, contentious and perhaps juvenile (as you put it), the definition should be 'not to be taken too seriously' and I always thought TUI was a bit 'old', fine for your 70's terrace boys but it never really came up to date for me. OTM went in a completely different direction which probabaly did not appeal to the purists at all, more to the emrging Brit Pop generation. RS and The BS came a bit later and once again, a bit straight for my liking. As I said 'off the wall' and you can't get any more 'off the wall' than hoping your manager is going to die (and that was definately juvenile) but you get (or not perhaps) the idea. I for one will be looking out for this zine at SMS, long overdue, **** the net, theres nothing better than sitting down at HT reading something funny and interesting, which is why i don't buy the programme!
  16. good to see a fanzine back, woner if it will be as 'clicky' as The Ugly, as mundane as 'Red Stripe' or as funny as 'On The March', probabaly missed one I bet.
  17. “Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I assure you, it's much more serious than that.” Bill Shankly
  18. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw this on the news. If anything sums up this country today it was this and the following 'justice'. These guys will be out in less than 2 years for killing someone, and they were convicted of manslaughter because it couldn't be proved that they intended to kill him. If it was down to me I would bring back penal colonies and Île du Diable, if you have seen or read the excellent Papilon you will know waht I mean. 6 months for being a bit idiotic with minimal intent against 2 years for killing a defenceless old man waiting with his 4 year old grand daughter, it doesn't make any sense.
  19. its a hard question but getable......
  20. I am doing a competition and i think the answer is Danny Wallace, however, no doubt someone will know for sure and correct me if neccessary: Who was the last Saints player sold to Manchester United? Appreciate the comments.
