The refusal to sell a season ticket at Southampton FC
Noodles34 replied to lenwilkins's topic in The Saints
Okay, lets have some suggestions on why you think NI has been banned; maybe that will help clear this up? I'll go with, once when Nick turned up at the ticket office, NC was there and noticed the colour of Nick's car and didn't like it... -

so anyone who ever says anything to the press has to verify exactly who they are speaking on behalf of? Come on.... David Cameron at the UN talking about Afghanistan... "I can only say that on behalf of the people in Britain who voted for me...." Ridiculous, and plus, maybe he does say that and doesn't get quoted. If Sky had rang you when AP was sacked you would have started with.."I can only speak on behalf of myself when i say it was a surprising and bad decision...."? -

Maybe we should have a separate threads; a constructive debate on the outcome of this investigation, and subsequent consequences in the present and future. And a thread for all the people who have nothing better to say than "Nick Illingsworth, what a knob!". And maybe that thread should be moved to The Muppett Show, as clearly most people are quick to name call someone they have never even met! They base their short sighted prejudices on either jealousy or lazy media. No one has really given ANY valid reason why NI is a knob or a idiot or a ...... etc, apart from the same old "he dont speak for me...". Well he never said he did, did he? (show me the quote?). Clearly he can speak on behalf of the Saints Trust because he is their 'chief', whether you are a member or not! In the eighties and nineties he used to write a fanzine that over 2000 people bought (I might add that others were better!!), clearly they didnt think he was a knob. He goes to most away games as well as the home ones (obviously on a match by match basis!!), does that make him a knob? The Echo, Sky, ITV and BBC ring him for an opinion whenever anything happens at SMS. Why? Because its probably the only number they have, do you think they put in any effort? Name calling, childish or what! -

I know Nick, and i echo what one or two other posters have said. You wont find a more loyal and committed Saints fan, and he isn't in it for the attention, the press need someone to talk to, if not him, then who should it be? Come on you PC hidden slag off merchants, quick to critisise but unable to offer an alternative, eh? As for Wembley, if i could count on my hand the number of times i have been to something and paid good money, and then realised it was a load of crap, well.... Jesus, it was only a tenner, hardly a cancelled holiday to the Maldives or a Spanish home knowcked down. No doubt it was ****, no doubt poorly organised, but i can guarantee that it was not done like that on purpose and i am sure NI wont be doing it again. -
this not about the iplayer or youtube etc..... its about watching youporn on a big telly!

Just seen the clip and really, why did Franny bring it up? Clearly Miss Chamberlain was briefed by someone (?) beforehand, its not the sort of thing you would casually know (that the cairman had rented a house off him) and therefore it seemed a conspired introduction to Fb to tell all. I love FB, see him around town a lot, he has a fit wife and he is a good bloke to chat too. Caught up with him just before Xmas at Kutis and he was really behind Saints the team, but very sad about the running of the club. H has his reasons i guess, but a bit disappointed in him today really, unneccessary.

Jason Dodd, should have played for England

1 - More happy that Lallana has signed 2 - More happy if Gully signs 3 - More happy if Ricky scores 20 more this season 4 - Happy that Alex stays thats the order I want, number 1 - sorted
-
agreed, booked a week away, 19-26, no Saints games at SMS and then this! Might wirite in to NC, because you can buy a ST when you have seen the fixture list and assume that they are the dates. If they get changed, well surely legally you must be entitled to a proportional refund?

Adkins worried that Lambert and Gully's Strictly routine will interfere with season run in....
-
okay, but he has his name on the cranes etc..
-
whats the point then, if you want to stay in these **** leagues, then you are hoping that we lose a certain amount of games, so we dont go up! Jesus, I have had enough of that in the last five years thanks,

Dont understand this, why would would he not have the stand named after him for private reasons when his company is called Liebherr? Personally I think we should name the ****ing stadium after him, The Marcus Leibherr St Marys Stadium, would have no problem with that. And, yeah, lets show the watching tv world that we can sing, and lets make a concereted effort to frequently sing his name during the game, this should roll on... and snowball.

You are usually a spot, no nonsense sort of guy and i can see where you are coming from. ML probabaly hadnt even heard of us previously but he quite clearly grew to love us. Yes an investment initially, and yeah, if it wasnt him it definately would have been someone else, we would not have gone, no way, but who would it have been? We saw some of the candidates and frankly, if one of them had taken over, well the scorers last night wouldn'y have been playing let alone scoring! I think you footnote comment is a little in bad taste mate, specially since the old man died!

I have to say that recently our support has become embarrassing. As someone who sits in the Itchen 4, what happened? We were giving the Northam a run for our money a year or two ago but now we are outsung by a bus load of Seasiders! I was initially against the move, but recently I am relenting because our support is so, so quiet, and it is embarrassing. We got a great team, great stadium (if you like that new fangled look etc, but thats another story) and we have great supporters in respect that we turn up in big numbers, week in, year out etc. but the noise level is pathetic, we need to do something.

Jesus, you need to get out more mate...

Saints vs Manchester Utd - 4th Round FA Cup Draw
Noodles34 replied to saint_bert's topic in The Saints
we will better than last time against em, thats for sure -
sorry for being a bit harsh, i really know what its like to do what you are doing, but one thing I have always welcomed is a bit of honest critique. Dont mean to be negative for the sake of it but like i said, you got to be a bit different, and contrary to waht people have told you, I believe people want to read all the nasty stuff, thats why The Sun is the no1 paper, they want the bull****, the gossip and the scandal. Thats not saying 'lets slag off the board' for the sake of it but there are plenty of other things to target too. One thing i did like was the player interviews etc, a few more past players, people associated with the club etc and even some fresh perspective from the youth team players maybe? Sincerely, good luck with it, if you are selling 1500 to 2000 then i reckon you are doing well.

A little advice boys, try be a bit funny, try and be a bit contraversial and try and be a bit different. All credit for doing what you are doing in this 'internet' age etc, but I have to say, reading your fanzine was boring. I am sorry for being honest, but fanzines were always fun and near the bone, upsetting the establishment, the management, the board and the players, and the fans! Sorry, I dont want to read about the same old stuff I can read anywhere, I think your front cover sums it up, not funny. Put a picture of Pardew and Fonte and some witty caption, dont have to be libellous, just near enough to it. Good luck!

7th or 8th, the manager will be sacked and we'll be back to square one..... again The Leibherr's will give up NC will bring some investment bankers Everyone will get ****ed off It will be, SOS (Same Old Saints)
