  1. you may be right but ironically they are treated like lepers by the likes of Egypt, Jordan and Lebannon!
  2. Unfortunately its the Saudis that fund most of the 'Islamic' terrorism, and yet we continue to court them for their oil. And at the same time we cant leave countries alone that whilst have unpleasant people running them, keep control i.e. Hussien, Taliban, Assad If we had not invaded Afghanistan and Iraq I don't believe we would be where we are now. There would still be terrorists for sure, but not on this scale in the west. I wonder how much more news coverage this will get compared to the 130 innocent (mostly kids) people (muslims by the way) that were killed in Peshawar?
  3. Is that a serious question? and is that all you do on here, call people names who don't agree with you, how old are you?
  4. HE SIGNED A NEW CONTRACT FOR 4 YEARS AT THE START OF LAST SEASON, NO?
  5. Maldini was world class, exceeding excellence.... that okay with you?
  6. not sure I understand your point? Feel free to expand wtf you are on about?
  7. I see that you have found your level again
  8. So 'brilliant' is better than excellent? And more name calling, Jesus. You our started this with your thread, by calling Pelle an "excellent, excellent player", when quite clearly he is not, but God forbid anyone with a rational opinion here that doesn't 'fit in', and what about getting it wrong from time to time, you have people dragging up people's original comments i can can still say, for example that Mane is not PL standard. He has played well at Selhurswt and obviously scored three goals lately, and he's young, so like Peter Crouch, I might be wrong about his future, hope I am, but I do try and look at football from a perspective that is not always biased, sorry about that.
  9. Name calling people who have a different opinion, classy
  10. Well the OP said he was an excellent, excellent player, so what does that make Costa, Augero and RVP? We we have maybe two or three excellent, excellent players, Nathan, Tony and Morgan, maybe Vic and Ryan are excellent and maybe Jose is very good along with SD. Jury's out on the rest..
  11. No, I am talking about his play in general without any red and white striped glasses. He is good at what he does, but he is miles away from the best in the league, whilst someone Jay Rod (before he was injured) was starting to catch the best up. Lets face it at his age, Pelle is not really going t get an better.
  12. "excellent, excellent player", your words which now you seem to contradict. Just saying that the likes of RVP and Costa are excellent, hence the comparison, Pelle is not now and neither will be excellent. No doubt will have the odd excellent game but in general terms, excellent he wont be.
  13. You claim to be part of the saints history book but don't know this guy, jesus!
  14. Sorry mate, do watch much football? Excellent player he is not, fits well into what we are doing and is good, but hardly in the class of RVP or Costa, who are, both excellent players. sorry mate, nothing personal but get a perspective on ability, just cause they play for us doesn't........
  15. Watching De Gea today, and had a bad start at Utd, not bad now though, they stuck with him and now have one of the best.
  16. Eh? he wasn't prolific for us but was pretty regular and considering he had to share it around with Le Tiss, Rod Wallace and Donny's free kicks, he did well to get on the score sheet.
  17. Did anyone see the large group of people in the Itchen North at the end of the game with their camera phones as the Utd team came towards their support. I have never seen anything like that before at SMS, DISGRACEFUL

    Mane

its not a case of writing him off after a few games, its about calling it as it is now. By your method how many games does he have to play to warrant an opinion?
  19. I was very worried we would get dicked tonight with our two best players out. So we lost, but I think we can go forward on the back of that with a lot of confidence and pick up at least seven points before Chelsea. If that happens then we will still be in touch come January, the key is coming back from these defeats against teams we know we would have beaten three weeks ago. These next three games will define our season.

    Mane

Shocking. How he stays on and Long goes off is beyond me.
  21. finishing top four on this list would not give me anything to shout about, a cup run would, so its an obvious answer. I mean if ANYONE tells me they would rather finish top four in this list than a cup run then i really would think football (the game) was dead and buried. Que, the Leeds/Skates scenario questions..... would you rather be fourth on the list than winning the CL and nearly going bust again. well to save time, we cant go bust under Kat, its pretty much impossible unless she wanted it to happen purposely and even then that would be a difficult thing to do, so that question would be irrelevant. I'd rather win something, been to Wembley and see us lose the ZDS, been to Cardiff and lose, seen us finish eighth in the PL and never seen us win a title. The JPT is what we have done, which was great and no matter how high on the rich or solvent or great business list we are, it wont compare to winning at Wembley. So its great being solvent and doing well, but wake me up when we win something on a football pitch.
  22. I cant wait to tell my grandkids about the days when we were so solvent, and moving up the business league table. I will talk about great names like Ralph Krueger and Gareth Rogers and Les Reed. And when they ask if they were playing in Cardiff in 2003 or set up Matt Le Tissier for his legendary goals, I'll scoff and say, "no, they werent on the pitch, they were running the club successfully, unfortunately kids, we didnt win **** all on the pitch".
  23. Think you mean Cortese
  24. so you're not a proper football fan then?
