15 months is a long time for a manufacturing issue to arise. Can I ask how much the camera was used? How many photos taken, how long it was carried around in a bag for? A quick Google does show anything for a front LCD problem on this model being common. Can you be sure the camera wasnt damaged when being carried or stored by you?
