There's a slight difference between the quality of their team then and now.

Perfume Genius - Learning, so frustrated I couldn't get hold of tickets to see him at Hoxton Hall. This record is truly incredible.

Why are you listening to a best-of?

Adam looks fit.

Yeah. You've got that wrong. @OfficialSite is some guy from NY.

Fair enough, the last time I saw you play in the flesh was the 4-1 defeat at Watford. Though Watford were very good that night, you were awful.

We hope/wish we are. He'd be enough to ensure we have a strikeforce to take us to the PL, I reckon.

Assuming he signs for us or not?

I seem to recall seeing Sheffield Wednesday play last season, and thinking they were the worst team I'd seen (in the Championship) bar possibly Plymouth (though this was back in October or so, though the fact they ultimately went down does little to dissuade my view). The point is, we had a 'poor' team in the Championship, we all saw what happened when the squad that finished on 46 points came through before significant strengthening - we weren't up to much. For the same reason, and the fact that other than Beevers and Tudgay, there's really no one in the Wednesday team who I'd think could displace any members of our side, unless they strengthen significantly (having been relegated, I doubt they will), they won't do better than possibly sneaking into the play-offs.

If I was Stu, I'd pretend I wasn't Stu too. Don't worry Stuey, I understand.

Despite this, the standard of a good pre-university mathematician hasn't really changed. Though the A Level syllabus isn't particularly massively stretching for most, there still exist papers that are of sufficient difficulty to compare to 'the good old days'. Additional Maths FSMQ at 16 is, as someone pointed out earlier, similar-ish to the old O-Level. Whereas STEP is easily comparable to the old S-Level. Mathematics is probably one of the subjects where there is sufficient capacity to stretch a good candidate, with additional papers, whereas with the sciences, there is little to offer beyond a narrow syllabus.

The thing is, no one really leaves school with GCSEs expecting to be able to get a job - it doesn't matter what people get/how easy the exams are.

Is it possible to revert to a 'work-safe' (less garish, nothing to do with 'work') skin? I don't like different colours all at once. Fighting for a homogenous forum (Britain). -
All pictured players are 'new', that could explain the absence of Adam and Morgan from the picture.

Something vaguely interesting involving a different method to the one used before would be to use inductive reasoning to show it is true for all n (though that wouldn't be expected at what appears to be GCSE level maths (it's not even in the A Level Maths syllabus, which is a little ridiculous)). Essentially, if you show that the statement holds true for n=1, then demonstrate that if we accept that it holds for n=k then that implies that it would also hold for n=k+1, then it holds for all n. Because, from the reasoning followed, as it holds for 1, and holding for any 'k' implies it holds for 'k+1', it must hold for 2,3,4,5..... like a domino effect. Though, in this problem, you'd end up multiplying out to show that p(k) => p(k+1), so it's somewhat unnecessary in this situation, but interesting (and more rigorous) nonetheless.

Wonderful stuff.

Why have you rated all the black players really low in terms of looks?

Hameur Bouazza released by Blackpool, can be a very good player.

Morgan having a poor game, the commentators want to see more from him. -
At which ground did Kevin Phillips score his first Southampton goal?

Patrick Colleter?
