FCUM were in the same league as Guiseley (a Leeds team) last season. My father in law lives opposite Guiseleys ground and, due to the fact that they were playing a Leeds based team, they brought a huge fanbase with them and naturally enough Guiseleys home support quadrupled with LUFC loons. The usual 'niceties' were exchanged by both sets of fans and there was a larger police presence than we get at SMS. I think FCUM's following fluctuates depending on the opposition so should we draw them in round 2 they will probably have good support, home or away.

As has already been discussed on here at length on several other threads, AP has been a dead man walking since the back end of last season. I believe that the timing, whilst on the surface appearing bizarre, has more to do with the incumbent than APs current performance. I think it was Duncan that broke the news/rumour that NC & AP's relationship was far from rosy and that it was a question of when, not if AP was sacked. The new guy has been scoped, become available, briefed, dotted the i's and x the t's. The bookies will have a field day for a couple of days and then when NC is ready he will drop the next bomb.

Susupect the timing, which on the surface to us lay people looks poor given Saturdays result, has more to do with the next gaffer that is coming in that a few poor opening games?

If you are going to compare AP with the like of Ferguson and Ancelloti the differences are that when players aren't performing they always have a plan B, C & D and implement them as soon it becomes obvious that players are struggling. AP envariably leaves it too late to make changes and, so it would appear to us laypeople, without much planning?

I'm far from being anti-AP but has he not done a 'Harry' at his previous clubs, that was certainly one of the accusations from Charlton and West Ham fans?
