So many times in the past I have witnessed Saints get into great position only to screw up in front of an optimistic capacity crowd. Dare I say that this time feels different. It will be a tough game but I think we will find a way to win.

Very kind.

If You had to Pick player of the year right now ?

I appreciate the travel challenges but, for me, the most important thing is that it's on the BBC. I live in the Highlands of Scotland and in poor health so Wembley is not an option for me. Just delighted I can watch it live in my living room. Wish I could be there and I wish you all well. I have my memories of finals and semi finals to keep me happy. But not the Adrian Heath semi at Highbury. That was just horrible.

Not mentioned yet but Armstrong v Man Utd. Late winner in 3-2 win following the Keegan goal that never was because Armstrong was offside! That Keegan "goal" would have been up there with the best. For me though it has to be Matty v Arsenal. Pure, unrestrained joy.

Team selection looks a little complacent to me.

Top 6 tomorrow!

Any long balls will come straight back.

My mother called me at work. She never does that and she knew nothing about football! She just knew it was important. In 10 minutes it was all over office (long before the inception of mobile phones). Top item on 6 o'clock news.

I have seen it all since 1967 but Matty's goal in the final game at the Dell still the most special moment ever. Just magic.

Spoke to a couple of Rangers fans yesterday. They are excited about Lucy. Not so much Russell.

Pointless prediction. We will lose this 3-0 with Vardy scoring again in the last few minutes.

I wish I could say it was the last time we scored a goal or even won a game. Sadly I no longer feel that way. Every goal scored is followed by one or more conceded and every slightly promising performance is followed by an abject surrender. So even happy moments are tainted by a total lack of expectation. The last time I was happy? Probably the play off final but it only lasted a few weeks (when we were not actually playing!

This is typical. A fairly decent performance that gave a little hope followed by a totally insipid one. Going down with a whimper.

Glad I live in Scotland and don't have to go anymore.

I have been supporting for almost 60 years. Thick and thin. Mostly thin. Adrian bl.... Heath by a mile. Compounded by the fact it was such a horrible, bobbly, pathetic goal, the timing and the pitch invasion by gloating Everton fans. It was our cup that year.
-
I know it's not over yet but I can't even be upset anymore. Just numb and embarrassed.
-
In all my 60 years of supporting my club I don't remember ever feeling so despondent. Defeat is expected. All I hope for is a bit of pride. I am resigned to relegation

Good day for us. Could/Should have been better
-
This is so much like our relegation season. We have respectable performances against the top teams but still lose. Then we conspire to throw away points to the teams around us. Net result: no wins.
-
Probably been said before but the 3rd goal was exactly the same mistake as against Ipswich. Player on the edge of the box gets a free hit. Why are our players so stupid?
-
Sorry if said before but with all those excellent penalty takers why could we not find one on Saturday?
-
My fear is that we could repeat what we did in our relegation season ie: put in a good, hopeful performance against one of the top teams only to be followed by a poor performance against a lesser team. I really hope not.

BBC reporting he is on his way to Strasbourg. Already in France for a medical. £10.2 Million!

Some names barely being mentioned that I am curious about. Ryan Fraser and David Brooks. I like them both as squad players.
