I don't want to be the one justifying the police actions if it turns out that there were serious errors after more facts come out, but I think the criticism will end up coming down to - how long after he'd said he'd been stabbed was he checked for wounds - because in the footage I saw it was cut inbetween. If it was a few seconds, so be it. Much longer than that is perhaps a different story.

I agree with this. When people are stabbed in this way external bleeding is often minimal and may not have been visible when clothed. The police are lied to constantly and after he said he'd been stabbed, "I don't think you have mate" was probably his impression at the time before checking. The police may deserve criticism for not checking for wounds sooner but I'm not convinced the rage against them is deserved.

True, plenty were expecting a fine though. I don't think any of us or anyone in the football world expected sanctions to be this harsh. It was the harshness that got us all hysterical rather than the offense itself imo. The spying was a ridiculous error but an easy one to correct. If we push on in the same way we finished this season we've got a good season ahead imo, with Tonda.

I like what Tonda has achieved regarding the management of the players and I think we should be wary of throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Get through this period of negativity and start again with Tonda in charge and fresh investment.

Appeal the points deduction. Sort out the absurdity that lead us here (pretty easily done I would think). Apologise to the supporters. Invest further in the team to ensure a normal automatic promotion next season.
