The FL certainly don't come across as what I would consider to be gentlemen in these negotiations. When one thinks of the chairman's history in politics that doesn't really surprise me. I shall try to put the matter to the back of my mind and start with the F5 routine on Monday. Thanks for the update btw.

Would it really not have been possible to sort out these technical details sometime during the last three weeks? I guess not since this is Saints we're talking about. Gather again on Monday for more fun and games then.

They're teaching the art of the golden shower at school?? Well that does surprise me ... or does it?

I see we're bottom already. http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/table/default.stm If we start with a home win we'll reach zero quickly imho. Another opening day defeat and it'll be mid September I reckon. Btw, have we given up on any more appeals against this 10 point penalty?

It's good to see the great man get his reward. Memories eh! His was the first signature (after my mum!) into my autograph book when I was about 10. I thought it looked good and used it as an inspiration for my own.

So what it boils down to is the fact that nothing has happened as usual. Time to do the vacuuming as part of my new role as househusband.
-
At midday I'll be having my leaving do. At least I'll have plenty of time to F5 from tomorrow.
-
Good luck to him. "Too short"? Is that still trotted out by the so-called talent spotters? Maybe he'll be back one day if we ever get back to being a united club.
-
Nah! Poor tactics and team selection for the 2003 final showed the man's limitations.
-
Were those three not part of the squad that found themselves relegated though? Fact is that Lowe picked his man, didn't support him, continued to follow the cheap route and the rest is history.
-
I guess it's a case of beggars can't be ... etc, etc.
-
Ah yes. It's the blame all those lousy customers for not buying the cr@p product syndrome revisited. What a t0sser.

At least another Friday is just around the corner.

At first sight things look pretty grim but I really can't believe that SFC is on the brink.
-
Some strange selections at Reading recently indicated to me that he was ready to depart for pastures new. The Royals need some fresh blood and Saints could do a lot worse than someone like Coppell. Whether he still has bad memories of May 1st 1976 I'm not too sure though.

Petition for a gagging order for all past directors...
obelisk replied to Gordon Mockles's topic in The Saints
Nope. Free speech comes pretty high up on my agenda so I've got no problem with anyone spouting off. We've already had too many gagging orders from the failure that is Lowe and now I'd be interested in what the various parties have to say about where they think that things went wrong and that includes the musings of the Barings bomber. If I'm not interested I'll not bother to read or listen just like normally on here. -
I guess that some of us that don't spend all day on here are a bit out of the loop. Maybe I'll wait until something actually happens.
-
Well done everyone that played, watched, rubbed down or whatever. Shame I couldn't make it but the event itself is surely what football should be and used to be all about.
-
Wotte's the point?
-
Ending the season as it started then.
-
Well no change there then.

I really don't know why some so called Saints fans have it in for a Saints fan who actually dips into his pocket. For some reason they seem to prefer leeches that suck the life from the club. Unbelievable.
-
Spot on. it's very possible that a lot of younger fans just will not recognise what the reality was just a few seasons ago. I'll not go into details bus as an example I'll just remind folk that Saints were relegated from Div 1 in 1974 with Man ****in' Utd. Ok they got straight back up but in those days there was no big four. The team we play on Sunday were top of the heap in the late 70s. It was the ebb and flow back then but not any more.

FF was never given proper credit. At least he knew how to keep the ball.
