I can agree that we didn't help ourselves but that might be because nobody took it seriously at the start, not even Gibbo and his mates. It's perfectly possible to believe both that our approach was amateurish and that we were stitched up while also thinking that the whole saga was a mountain built from a molehill. Those people would have good reason to come to that conclusion. The FA panel took their time to look at the actual evidence. The EFL not so independent panel were under pressure to come to a speedy conclusion without taking their time to review the evidence and precedent before inflicting a sentence that most people think was way over the top. The FA panel believed Tonda and, in legalese, put the boot into the EFL panel.

Mr Macanuff maybe should consider his position as a so-called Independent non-Exec Director on the FA Board if he wants to publicly pontificate on matters about which he knows nothing or even to knowingly tell blatant untruths.

I cannot help but compare the FA panel to that cobbled together by the EFL. The FA panel took their time to consider the evidence and ignored calls from the accusers for them to have the accused executed. The EFL panel had the appearance of not being independent, it was heavily influenced by the accusers and declined to consider the defence or even mitigation. It was rushed and then quickly produced the draconian measures that its employers demanded. I wouldn't be surprised if Dragan wasn't considering taking some sort of revenge on the EFL clowns.

I see that Dragan has stuck the boot into the EFL and quite right too. That process was a farce and ought to be open to legal challenge. It seems that the FA blazers were much more reasonable in their considerations.

Maybe the FA, like a lot of people, thinks the saga has been overblown and that the EFL went a bit over the top with their hasty reaction in favour of Gibbo and his mates at the expense of Saints.

An opponent's training session taking place in public view let's not forget. If the FA are really trying to ban members of the the public from viewing activities taking place in public then maybe I can see why this decision is taking so long.

Can't believe that the FA blazers would want to spoil one more expenses-paid outing tonight by having to be sober enough to talk to the press about whatever draconian punishment they might fancy imposing. Tomorrow afternoon after a long lie-in would be my guess.

Rule E3.1 basically gives the blazers at the FA the right to do what the hell they like. If they fancied it they could charge anyone involved in football with having an incorrectly knotted tie. The irony is that the FA themselves could be accused many times of bringing the game into disrepute but the blazers are untouchable. Nevertheless, we just have to live with the fact that Tonda is going to get a good hard kicking from the FA for something that the football world in general thinks is pretty trivial.

Some might suggest that's the FA, the EFL and Gibbo's plan.

Well let's face it. Standing in a public place while watching players going through their moves in full public view is a much more serious offence than systematically breaking financial rules designed to slightly even things up a bit over many years. What does "Gibbo" have to say on this? Presumably he'll be demanding a place in the EPL.

He wouldn't even get that much for marching around Rockcliffe Park in the style of Basil Fawlty and giving "Gibbo" a good slap.
