I'm guessing that comment was after he was played up front? I thought he looked ok out wide against Norwich (I think, could have been WHU in the cuop) and Chelsea when he came on.

You never know until he is given the opportunity though, Sire Ricky was a late bloomer, Vardy and Ian Wright came from nowhere. AA may still come good if he sticks around.

I interpret it as we are signing Karim Benzema. I'm normally pretty good on this stuff.

That sounds very plausible. The reasons given for poor performance were- 20/21 season it injuries and squad depth, injuries resolved themselves and squad depth was addressed over the summer. 21/22 season it was put down to the quality of players and assistants, if both of those things are address over the summer then he has absolutely nowhere to go if we don't get of to a reasonable start.

My money was on John Burridge

They may still have Ralph in their sights, maybe it’ll take a bit longer, maybe not. Whilst Ralph is not responsible for everything that is wrong with the club he has definitely played his part. But, like everyone else, I am only observing from the outside and making assumptions. Hopefully they know what they are doing. When we do get some new coaches, I hope he values and trusts their input.

The worry is Djnepo looked quite good initially, as did Diallo, but they both look borderline hopeless cases now.

I think they will be weighing up the real prospects of relegation if he stays / goes, if they conclude he is the problem then they may well consider it money well spent in paying him off.

I believe that is the issue, premier league midfielders are progressively becoming bigger, stronger and quicker. Stating the bleeding obvious we are generally too small, too light and too slow in midfield for the modern game, and he is the smallest and lightest of the bunch.
