  1. John Moss is being extremely lenient with Liverpool
  2. No ambition!
  3. And having their best players available which hasn’t been the case this season
  4. In not suggesting he will go, I just don't think he will be pushed. Or it could be a mutual agreement arrangement, whereby he is compensated.
  5. I think he will only leave if it's his decision.
  6. I generally like listening to DM, but he shows he's a bit out of touch when he cites Bertrand as Vestagard as factors in our demise. Ings , yes, he was the difference last season.
  7. There are other possibilities, notably that Ralph has been very fortunate to manage JWP during his (JWP's) prime development years, we can never know if JWP would have improved equally well or better under another manager. JWP is such an intelligent rational guy I think it's more likely he took control over his own development. I tend to think that Ralph, being so rigid, is more likely to strangle development. Who know how Djneppo may have developed under a different style of manager?
  8. I didn't like all the "on the bus" crap when he joined, in my experience in life in general, higher achievers are harder to manage, surrounding yourself with "yes men" will ultimately reduce team performance.
  9. I find the "net spend" defence quite misleading really. I'm pretty sure that wouldn't account for the market value of Broja and Livramento for example. It also doesn't account for the market value of players we have developed or improved, which is after all our model. If anyone could provide an objective list of squad / team transfer value it would give a more realistic picture of where we sit in the scheme of things, if that is what you want to judge Ralph on. However, none of that explains his kamikaze tactics, daft team selections and illogical substitutions. It also doesn't explain the sustained massive drops in form and the occasional humiliation.
  10. I'm all too happy for a mass clear out, but naively I assumed it would be the dross going, I am now worried that it maybe some of the more marketable players.
  11. It feels like he's a busted flush, his authority has gone, its seems to have gone around the time of Villa away. We can only speculate why that is, he's not in the new owners plans, players had enough of Ralph looney ball, Ralph's retirement announcement, half the squad either being shown the door or wanting out... the list goes on. But in answer to your question, I think he's pretty much done with this squad.
  12. Redmond wouldn’t have been there, he’d have played a short sideways or backwards pass 25 yards out and then taken a position where he couldn’t receive a return pass.
  13. For me it was when Ralph started experimenting with some strange fashions known generally as “haute du p’do”, generally giving the impression of modelling himself on a choir master with an unhealthy interest in his young choristers. This, I believe, greatly unnerved some of the younger players.
  14. It’s simply moneyball, the last few years, but I’ve always believed the moneyball philosophy is playing Russian Roulette with relegation. I think we will get away with it this season but we need a drastic change in strategy to continue. I do believe the people in power now understand that.
  15. That sounds like being a little bit pregnant
  16. I always do that!
  17. There is only 1 relegation spot left, so I don’t think we’ll go down, especially after Burnley losing, but it’s not really the point is it?
  18. In response to your first paragraph, I only saw the last half hour but I wouldn’t call it control, we had lots of meaningless possession about 20 - 25 yards from goal with no penetration, it was so comfortable for Brentford
  19. If the last eleven games form continued over a season we’d be on for a heady 17 points.
  20. Pause it there and go for a nice walk
  21. It wouldn’t have happened like this if we hadn’t bullied Ralph into playing AA, we are normally rock solid without him.
  22. What is Diallo like, I’m not a fan, I was wondering if today is his last chance before being loaned or flogged.
  23. What about Pep and his Merry band of midgets, what is he thinking?
  24. I was there and didn't get that vibe. I agree he didn't look comfortable, but no manager in any business would look comfortable facing the stakeholders after sustained poor results. What I got, just my interpretation, was that there is recognition from the owner and the chairman that the league is improving and we are not, therefore we are falling behind, which is always the result of standing still. I think Ralph's "not good enough" quote bears this out. I also picked up a whiff of a big clear out, which is why I concluded that Ralph is staying but a number of the players are not. I could be 100% wrong of course. I don't think its fair to compare with the ladies, as I understand things they are very well funded in the sphere they operate in.
