I like Peraud, I have done an in depth analysis of his attributes and concluded he is a pretty good player who will get better with experience, but the most interesting finding concluded he is a tough and niggly little shit, (petit merde) which is a very desirable and admirable quality in a Saints player. I would have thought feeding him into the team gradually would be the better way of managing his progress, not a full debut in an FA cup game against a robust championship side, more so when you consider the weakened team fielded yesterday.

Great news it's a "proper" sell out, as opposed to league match "sell outs" where absent season ticket holders are still counted, this should mean there is a bum on nearly every available seat! I still get excited by the FA cup, seems a long time since we've had a Saturday afternoon home tie (note to the forum pedants, even if it isn't, please don't trouble yourself to correct me, as I really don't care)! To be fair it’s not like the expenditure is a write off, they will all have a residual value, even if they are short term solutions. Assuming they are all worthless, going forward £100 million to stay in the prem is probably a good value in their circumstances.
