Rasiak went right off the boil and drew a lot of ire. I personally had it in for Cockerill, not sure why, I was mid screaming abuse at him one time when he banged in a stunning 30yd volley. Made me look a tit!

Good question, I’ll run that through my programme and report back. I knew I’d missed something.

I’ve modelled this game through my computer programme. There are three possible outcomes. We score more goals than them, we win. Brighton score more goals than us, they win. Here’s where it gets interesting, we both score the same amount of goals, or both fail to score, it’s a draw. This formula cannot fail, get on to Betfair right now and throw everything you have at the three possible outcomes. I don’t want anything for this, I just want make everyone happy in these unprecedented times.

Oh brilliant, slinging insults.

I don't mean obese, I mean he's a big unit, which generally full backs aren't. He doesn't look 6'2, if he is, he is. But he looks considerably smaller than the rest of our CB's and seemed a lot smaller than Calvert Lewin who is also quoted as 6'2.

Is het tall enough for a modern CB, I was by his lack of height surprised when I first saw him play? He may make a good DM, some of his tackling and distribution was pretty good in the second half. Bit of a strange one, to small for a CB, too big for a FB.

IMO He has been a little better, but only measured against the low standards he has set. I don't know what has happened to his pace, he seems to have no acceleration and never wins a race to the ball. I don't know if his confidence has been shot. Hopefully he continues to improve to the point where he makes a significant difference, rather than doing the odd good thing here and there.

I think they got away with one as well, Shevchenko clawing, pulling and grabbing Vestagagard in the area, it was only the size difference that perhaps it didn’t register as seriously as it was. It’s one of those, anywhere else on the pitch it’s a free kick.

Yes, we frequently capitulate, we’d make the best of keepers look hapless on our off days

So has Tella

I’m no longer quite so certain we are going to get anything out of this game.

Who’s bailing?

Old Silly Sue is a liability

City falling right into our not touching the ball trap, suckers

Nothing, but he is the scapegoat de jour
-
I think he’s just way out of his depth / comfort zone. I actually think he’ll leave at the end of the season
-
Don’t write it off, could keep the final score under 9
-
It’s not over yet, all we need is to score 3 goals and keep City out.
-
I think he's the best option this season because he is the only option, I can't see him maintaining or improving form next season, unless he has been carrying an injury this season. As others have said we need back up / competition for that spot. If he wants to stay and fight for the spot on a reasonable deal, shortish duration and pay reflecting his age, then I'm happy for him to stay on for a season. If not then we will need to find two left backs.

It’s true, “they didn’t like it up’em”! It’s as good a strategy as any. Saints of old always took that approach

Great as always, really enjoyed the interview with the American fan

Anyone starting to look nervously at the table?

Regardless of their defensive absentees you’d think Liverpool would still have the ability to outscore teams given the players they have. Not sure what’s gone so badly wrong there. -
Ings Injury absence isn’t potentially as disastrous as it could have been, hopefully Che’s confidence will be up, Minmouse had goals in him, and I don’t think it’ll be too long before Tella starts scoring
