  1. Agree re Boufal, he offers more than the 3 you named in my opinion. I had high hopes for Djneppo, he's a big nothingness
  2. McCarthy has pulled off some worldies this season, he is at least part of the reason we had our good run. Yes he's made two balls ups playing out of defense that's lead to two goals, and the goals have started pouring in, but that's in a side where chaos has resumed for a variety of well known reasons. He was being talked about in terms of an England call up before we went on this run. Forster has had almost nothing to do in the cup run which has seen us face a succession of weakened teams who have posed little threat. I don't think Forster is the answer to anything, he is back up, that's all.
  3. It's of no relevance to Celtic we had our pants pulled down. I'd take it, still a lot of money to us right now, plus the saved wages.
  4. Assuming that's a back 4, I'd agree except drop Redmond and give Minimouso a go out wide.
  5. Yes it is, if we haven't got the money to add a few quality players and carry on this form next season we could be struggling.
  6. I think we will be OK, but current on form it doesn't look brilliant. The reason saints have survived late on so many times over the years is when the middling teams have nothing left to play for you can pick up lots more points per game, those already in the fight will be ready for this, we seem to have no fight. Like I said, I think we will be OK. But... there is often one seemingly safe team that nosedives after Christmas
  7. He clearly isn’t match fit, just had two games in a week and hasn’t played much this season. I wasn't sure what his role was was today, seemed to be playing deeper than where I have seen him play before. I think he’ll be very good given some time to settle. He started well enough, just faded.
  8. You lost me at , “safe , well and coping ok” I’m sick to death of all this disingenuous bon homie.
  9. That’s the nuts and bolts of it really. When you pose the question how many of our team would get in for example Leicester’s (an example of the next step), none of those you have named would.
  10. I’d be more judgemental if he had the opportunity to assemble the team he wants rather than making do and mending with what he has.
  11. Forster has barely had to make a save in his cup run
  12. If Armstrong isn’t injured then Ralph needs to restart his meds
  13. Great half, only worry is 1 goal up doesn’t reflect the total domination we had.
  14. Wolves continue to be fannies
  15. Redders, watch Armstrong and learn
  16. I’m not a massive fan by any means, but he has had a very disrupted season. Happy to bin him off completely if he doesn’t show when he gets these opportunities
  17. Wouldn’t call it a particularly good game, given what his main job is. But, I’m not averse to him being given the opportunity to play his way back into fitness and form.
  18. Not only would it stop the rot, if you look at the table, if we could string a few results together we’d be right up there again. There is no reason why we couldn’t do that, given nearly everyone is back to fitness plus Mincooper, and a couple of the B team starting to stick their heads above the parapet. i can feel myself starting to regret this wave of positivity already.
  19. I watch a lot of rugby, the officials seem better trained, better educated and have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the rules.
  20. Really?
  21. Who did ?
  22. Silvas scream registered on the seismometer
  23. We have been practising nils
  24. Wolves have weathered the storm (gentle breeze) and are getting on top
