  1. Someone told me yesterday, with great conviction, that Jack Stevens is off to Bournemouth, anyone heard anything to that effect?
  2. this thread has got me triggered, wasn't he a bit of a loose cannon? He could stop a shot. First Target, now Gunn. We could start misfiring. Anyway, enough from me, too much longer on here and I could get fired! I'll get my coat..
  3. I must be due one soon…
  4. I actually think they would have made all of the difference. Just think, Ings instead of Sterling?
  5. Perhaps they found out he voted Conservative?
  6. Gareth Hasengatesal
  7. What about that run, that fantastic run, best run the commentators have ever seen, the one where he lost control of the ball and it all went to cock, but what a run …
  8. Roy Keane is a very angry man.
  9. I think it’s brilliant to be fair, bit of fun. Much needed
  10. Indeed you can, but you wouldn't concentrate the majority of your posts or threads you start on him.
  11. Thank you for confirming you are a troll. Please now go away.
  12. I don’t think you are a fan, most of your comments seem to be trolling MLT.
  13. Do you think they still are? I think they are heading towards the 2nd group, top 6. As it stands, without significant signings we will be in the third / fourth group, mid table / avoiding relegation. Having said that, I think he could aim higher than villa.
  14. Roll up Carlos Kickaball and Alia Dia's grandson
  15. Disagree, if you want the status of owning an EPL club at a relatively low price then we would be a good bet. There , is a risk of relegation next season if we don't improve the squad, but that is unlikely even without an investor. If an investor were to come in and back 2 or 3 signings the risk of relegation would be minimal.
  16. You have a very unhealthy obsession with one of the greatest players who played for Saints, who also happens to be a really decent bloke.
  17. One difference is it seems to take much less time to reach a decision. I have also to agree with others, the refereeing does seem far superior to what we have had to endure.
  18. I'm not sure he does, in his final England game he was moving it on really quickly, the opportunity to do this is created by having players taking up intelligent positions and making good runs, he doesn't get that opportunity at Saints, whether its wholly the calibre of players, Rigid Ralphs automatonisms (or whatever they are called) or players like Redmond always making sure there is an opposition player between him and the ball. I think he would have done really well. His potential won't be realised until he moves to a better team.
  19. I would, but I confess I didn’t actually see it. I’m working on the evidence, which is, I don’t like him, I don’t like Man Utd and I don’t like the way he brutally attacked Jankewitzs studs with his thigh.
  20. You have to think beyond management success, it's not the only factor. Players do like to play for managers who were themselves great players, I've heard many say this and it stands to reason. For someone my age Koeman was a legend, the Dutch national team he played for were very charismatic and glamorous, his club career was exceptional also. As were Poch's Argentina. That's why I originally mentioned Strachan and Hoddle, also playing legends. You may think of Hughes as the exception, but he came here with a very tarnished management reputation. I do not remember Ralph as a player, I wasn't even aware of him before he joined us. I look back on the RK era very fondly.
  21. Manager pulling power is a factor, especially with someone Koeman. Whatever Ralphs stock was when he joined us will be a lot lower now, in my opinion.
  22. You have to bear in mind we are not that attractive to very ambitious upwardly mobile players. Maddission for one was just not interested in us. Unfortunately we are in a bit of a mediocrity trap. In the past players would sign just to play for Koeman, Poch, Strachan, Hoddle and so on. We just don't have that draw with Ralph. They may even have signed for the Europa league, what do we offer now to players like the ones you mention? Plus i expect they are on better wages.
  23. Thank God
  24. I hope more than anything else right now it’s genuine
