Yes, we frequently capitulate, we’d make the best of keepers look hapless on our off days

So has Tella

I’m no longer quite so certain we are going to get anything out of this game.

Nothing, but he is the scapegoat de jour

I think he’s just way out of his depth / comfort zone. I actually think he’ll leave at the end of the season

Don’t write it off, could keep the final score under 9

It’s not over yet, all we need is to score 3 goals and keep City out.

I think he's the best option this season because he is the only option, I can't see him maintaining or improving form next season, unless he has been carrying an injury this season. As others have said we need back up / competition for that spot. If he wants to stay and fight for the spot on a reasonable deal, shortish duration and pay reflecting his age, then I'm happy for him to stay on for a season. If not then we will need to find two left backs.

It’s true, “they didn’t like it up’em”! It’s as good a strategy as any. Saints of old always took that approach

Great as always, really enjoyed the interview with the American fan

Anyone starting to look nervously at the table?

Regardless of their defensive absentees you’d think Liverpool would still have the ability to outscore teams given the players they have. Not sure what’s gone so badly wrong there. -
Ings Injury absence isn’t potentially as disastrous as it could have been, hopefully Che’s confidence will be up, Minmouse had goals in him, and I don’t think it’ll be too long before Tella starts scoring

I was never not on board, just stating I feel more comfortable now than if the Fulham gap had been reduced to four points with us playing Citeh next. That’s all old chum. -

Yes, now, after Fulham lost to Spurs and we won today, but not before that, o one could be certain, we have been spiralling, had we lost today followed by a City rout, who could say? -
Champions league here we come!

Nothing like the dreadful we have experienced recently. We are literally the worst team in the world on current form and we are one nil up, and have had a few half chances.

Not the Phoenix tomorrow though!

We could offer Pep a "buy it now" deal?

The only real threat to us is Fulham, while on current form they are better than us, they have a really tricky run in the next few games. They remind me of the season we went down from the prem, not that bad, just too many draws. They have 4 games in March, THFC (tonight), Liverpool away, Man City H, Leeds away. The risks for us are, obviously, we can't keep losing, but Fulham will soon come up against better teams that have no interest left in the season and they will probably pick up points against "on the beach" sides. With a 7 point lead, we could make it all academic with a couple of wins, so still 100% in our hands. But... potentially we could get little or nothing from our next three games, and if Fulham spring a surprise or two than it would be twitchy bum time. Massive game tonight against Spurs, if Spurs win that and we beat SUFC on the weekend then it's a 10 point margin and we will have a game in hand. All ifs and buts, but its going to be an interesting few days.
