I hope so, it would be a depressing state of affairs if this wasn't the case. I assume it will be a significant rebuild again, but hopefully this time we will address the glaring issues. I'm guessing a big striker such as Ross Stewart was key to RM's plans, so, assuming RM stays, lets hope that is one of the key areas that is sorted out.

That's my take also, I was really pleased with our first half performance, then it occurred to me in the second half that Liverpool had allowed us to look good. Klopp corrected this at half time and Liverpool were pushing up much higher and not allowing our pretty little passing patterns, thereafter we largely struggled. Subs obviously didn't help.

Its not just playing the pass at the right time, its accelerating and using his pace at the right time, so often he is in a position to take on a defender and yet he slows down or turns inside or back. Did it last night, had an opportunity to burst past Konate, but turned back.

I thought Charles had a good game, he is only a kid and playing in a position of high responsibility. I honestly don’t think Mara, Sulemana and possibly Smallbone will ever make the grade. AA has reverted to his old self. Good to see Bree back, thought he looked good. Don’t know what to make of Rothwell, looks to have talent but also looks chronically unfit. Too many weak links in the team / squad to go much further this season.
