  1. One of life’s great mysteries
  2. Or an alternative scenario , he put the word out, it went something like this… “get me the fuck out of this place, biggest mistake of my life, what a shit show, Ralph won’t speak to me, Rasmus hates Martin, Martin hates Rasmus, people keep leaking stuff to the press, we are never ever going to win another game, they care more about rainbows and unicorns than they do about the fans. What have I done!” he exclaimed whilst sobbing uncontrollably. probably exactly how it went down
  3. I’ve said it on other threads, my felling is there is conflict in the upper echelons of SFC
  4. I think we always go with that intention, but you pretty quickly have the positivity drained from you. I realise it's a bit of chicken and egg, but Ralph and the players need to give us something to feed off, even if its a meaty tackle or two, to show us they care as much as we do. We've had some poor and struggling teams in the past, but I don't recall one with so little spirit. As for Ralph, I hope he doesn't get grief, that will be counterproductive, its reminiscent of the Branfoot days when I hoped we would lose every time we played to accelerate his demise. I want Saints to win, but I think we need to make some big changes, and Ralph is the obvious starting point.
  5. I'm not sure he'll ever be fit, i think "his legs have gone" and he's past the point of no return. I watched him closely last season and he just couldn't react to situations the way he wanted to. I know it's said he's one of the fastest in the club, but there is a big difference between sprinting and the microsecond reactions required in elite sport.
  6. It's getting worse by the day, we have recently established that you are MLG (AKA frowny face emoji man) and TWAR, now you have come out as a Pompey Fan! I going to have to go and have a lay down, this isn't good for my blood pressure!
  7. Just to clarify, you are not too keen on Adam? I think that’s what you’re hinting at, but I wanted to be sure?
  8. I don't think he's terrible by any stretch, but what I think is really important for Saints is that he is the only player we have who has escaped the personality bypass surgery, I don't know how he slipped through the "model son in law" screening process.
  9. Brilliant!
  10. I am always dismayed at how the 4th official has to deal with managers screaming in their ears, that should be stopped for starters. Secondly, I think there needs to be a punishment between a yellow and a red, such as a 10 minute sin bin. Yellow is too soft for a professional foul breaking up an attack in my opinion, it would also be a good cool down for anyone chasing the ref around the pitch screaming in his ear. Just a couple of thoughts, if we got it right at the top you hope the rest would follow. We could learn a lot form rugby where dissent is not tolerated and "penalties" are given. As for kids football, god knows, some of he parents are utter yobs, but they are probably think they are justified as that is how some of their bratty heros behave.
  11. I thought that was said when we signed him, but I may have dreamt it. My thoughts were to have him in the what they now call front sweeper, or a sitting defensive midfielder. Hasn't he performed that role as a sub a couple of times this season? Lifted from The Boot Room: He’s versatile Lyanco is a natural centre-half, but also has the capacity to play as a left-back if needed. He was also deployed as a holding midfielder on a couple of occasions last term, and his versatility could make him very useful to Marcelo Bielsa.
  12. It's all about the midfield, if we go with the usual powder puff lineup they will murder us. If we do get something it may well give Ralph a reprieve, assuming his position is / was actually under imminent threat. I can't help feeling, given City's form, that 4 - 0 was seen as some sort of achievement. Lyanco in for me, no room for Diallo I'm afraid. We desperately need some physicality in there.
  13. I wish they’d all eff off and we get bought out by a bazillionaire die hard saints fan, who is a reformed football hooligan that hasn’t actually reformed at all and is still a right yobbo on the quiet.
  14. They should go and do some Arctic training with the British army in Norway instead, as a character building exercise, they definitely don't deserve a sunshine break.
  15. Just having a bit of fun, keep posting, it’s all good stuff!
  16. Please disclose all you know of this, I think it's more interesting the the Ralph saga right now?
  17. If Bad Wolf MLG's alternative login, then who is TWAR's alternative login? The mystery deepens, Mr Wolf, please enlighten us?
  18. I'd play Lyanco at CDM, pring some aggression and ball winning capability to that position, I'm sure when he came here it was said he could play in defence or midfield? This would allow JWP to concentrate on what he does best, getting further forward and shooting from range or whipping in those deadly crosses. Maybe go 5 in mid with one up front, especially away or against the better sides, just until we can stop the rot. I'd play Che as lone striker with AA wide mid, Diallo would be nowhere near the starting lineup.
  19. Some little upstart called Shearing or something, scored a hatrick against Arsenal when he was only 17, never to be heard of again.
  20. No, not really, we could still do those things, maybe not as well, but we just don’t.
  21. Saints, Liverpool and Forest the get relegated FACT!
  22. Players happy to carry the ball and players running off the ball to find space.
  23. Arsenal are everything we are not
  24. You may have a point, social media has influenced huge political decisions over the last two or three years , so it seems a logical conclusion that the club do use this site and other social media sites as a barometer of supporters mood.
  25. I can’t see it, I can’t see him wanting it, why would he? I don’t think we’ll get any points from the next two games which would put us on 7 points out of 33. Or 7 from 11 games, and probably firmly in the bottom 3. Even with a new manager in time for West Ham I’m It sure things will not change very quickly, we seem to be in a deep malaise. I can’t see our overlords wanting him. I suspect we will go for a “coach” who will tow the SR “moneyball”line. When, if survival is the aim, we should be looking at someone like Sean Dyche. I’d equally be very surprised if that happened.
