  1. The two centre backs are big, the other two are not by current midfield standards, I was surprised how unimposing AMN looked in the flesh. I don’t know what anyone expects from his corners, as for going straight to a defender, what is he to do, if we are static and have no attacking aerial threat, The defender is always going to be first to the ball. The reality is, is that his corners are wasted on our donkeys. So if anyone said we should start taking short corners or something else other than getting into the supposed danger area, I think that would be a different argument with some merit to it.
  2. Probably, but there is normally someone of greater influence, that would be Dragan in this case, it’s his money at risk.
  3. Was he not at Mityland when the gave us a hard time in the Europa league?
  4. To be fair to him, I was at the game and I thought his corners were excellent, but we have no one to attack them, we continue to sign small players and always seem outnumbered in the box. Che can win a header in a battle, but he can’t beat a cb to a header and direct the ball, he’s just not tall enough. I find it hard to single out JWP for criticism when we have the weakest midfield, without Romeu, in the premier league.
  5. I don’t think it is, at least the first 11 isn’t. All we needed to add to last season’s starting 11 was a decent attacking midfielder. Now we have lost Oriel and Broja and we still have not addressed the attacking midfielder issue, hence we are trying to convert AA to that role. The jury is out on Aribo for me, he looks like a good championship player, but it’s early days and the midfield is completely dysfunctional in Ralph’s 2 2, so it’s hard to judge.,The only stand out for me so far is Bella Kotchap. I agree with everything else you say.
  6. Ralph wouldn’t have him full stop, Ralph doesn’t really do personalities or string characters, he needs robots to program with automisms.
  7. Can you give me the url of that website ? I need it to … err … complain and things
  8. I feel like I am watching the relegation team, minus the talent
  9. I’ll Fook it instead
  10. If Everton score first we are FUKT
  11. Keep that rage and use it as fuel for a greater rage.
  12. It’s a very good read
  13. I know Moi is currently the focus of a lot of frustration, but he can do a job within a functioning midfield. I don’t get Diallo, he wouldn’t get near another first team in the top two English leagues, he is what he is, which is a French lower league 1 player.
  14. It's a bit ironic all the pre match focus on our dysfunctional midfield, when for the last few seasons we we largely happy with Stu, Orial and JWP but generally felt we were missing a decent wide / attacking player. Now we find ourselves with no Oriel (big loss IMO), Stu not in the reckoning and JWP out of form, but in his defence surrounded by a very weak midfield.
  15. Ref those selecting Aribo and Edozie, is that on the basis of the lack of competition or their form / potential ? My jury is out on Aribo, it’s still early days, I have not seen Edozie and have no idea if he should be a starter, personally I think that midfield would get shredded. Stu Armstrong has to come back in, things only seem to happen when he’s on the pitch. Likewise I have no view on AMN, I’d be inclined to leave out Edozie and bring in Stu. An unpopular view but I’d probably start with Elyonoussi as well, he’d be more effective if Stu was playing. So I’d have jwp , Stu, Elyonoussi and Aribo. The others could be introduced when required.
  16. I want more than 3 points, or he walks!
  17. when you say another, who else?
  18. I'm not sure, I think it will take a couple more, win Saturday and the mood will change, things will look OK, 10 points from 8 games would be OK, lose saturday, then presumably lose to City the week after and its 7 from 9 and possibly getting close to the bottom 3. My guess is if nothing is gained from Everton and City then West Ham will be the "must win" for Ralph.
  19. sounds good to me
  20. He massively over complicates things, maybe his successor will keep things simpler, play to players strengths and not coach the life out of creative players. I don’t think it’ll be too hard a transition for them.
  21. They should award us the points, it’d be a nice gesture
  22. I would consider it a rant, it's a succinct and eloquent summary in my opinion.
  23. True, but that offers no explanation for Ralph's most recent brain fart.
  24. "would the real slim MLG please stand up, please stand up, please stand up...🎶"
  25. well it's a bit confusing, but isn't it the more money that pours in shortens the odds, so it becomes self perpetuating in that sense, but then again if the initial money piling in is a result of some inside info???.... so, in conclusion, I don't know either.
